I'm not saying you are wrong.  However, I don't know if we can make that assumption based on the differences between the two. All of the differences you mentioned could be attributed to the one making the banners. Two banner makers will not sew a standard the same. It's not as if these things are printed from a template. Artistic licence and all that. It is a decent enough justification, I suppose. 'Course, I tend to be the sort to find any justification to cover up a game design error.

Let me spell it out for you.

The Red Templar Flag..(seen in the pic) is the exact same flag flying over their bases, tents, etc.

We are not taking about REAL flags here. These are pixels. Make one damn Red Templar flag and you c and p it where ever you want.

Maybe Bioware meant for there to be different flags depending on which faction you supported. But during development, that detail just went unchecked. The game did feel rushed, especially after Haven.

I really hate anything Templar related, so I dunno why is that flag hanging there...

I always figured the Inquisitor put it up there to be reminded of who they are fighting first thing in the morning. You know, to psych themselves up for the fight instead of merely caffeinating themselves :P Kind of like this:

Which does not really make sense if your primary opponents are the Venatori.

But yeah, I always wondered and thought it was an odd choice to have it hang there.

Also, if I remember correctly, Frederic (the dragon scholar) in the Western Approach has a tent which is a Red Templar tent. Always made me uneasy around the guy for some reason. You can clearly see it here:

Well, I just went to the Western Approach, and Frederic is in a Red Templar tent. So obviously they don't put much thought into these things

Or Frederic is such a good spy he announces his affiliation and you still trust him   The Iron Bull would approve.

This is Frederic we're talking about. He probably saw it lying around somewhere, thought it was his, and never even noticed the huge Sword of Mercy stenciled on the side.

He is also Orlesian. He may have chosen it because it coordinated with his outfit.

Well there is a bright side ...

We can take the flag down and make it into strips. Then..THEN....when the Quizzy goes number two they have something to use for butt wipe. :D

And then wrap the used strips in a package with a nice bow on top and send it to Therinfal Redoubt.as a gift to Lord Seeker Lucius.

I... already posted that

Haha, true.

"Of course, Durand's theory of high dragon mating behaviour is absurd - What was that? Ah, thank you for returning my tent, kind knight. It's a shame it is not yours however; it matches the red crystals on your armour so well. Good day!"

Corypheus' forces did want him to survive, after all :P

Actually, there were Red Templars there, but it would be odd for Frederic to use their tent when he would bring his own. Over-analyzing is fun sometimes, apparently, considering how this thread exists at all

I get a lot of laughs from over-analyzing the game. There is so much funny stuff when you give it any thought.  :D
