Will BioWare make the next protagonist Orlesian?

It's become tradition for each protagonist to be from the country the previous game was set in: Hawke from Ferelden and the Inquisitor from the Free Marches. That way we can get away with knowing nothing about the culture and people of the country we're in I assume. If the next game is set in Tevinter, do you think BioWare will actually make the PC Orlesian? Personally I can't see them making a companion a true (incredibly annoying, cartoon French parody) Orlesian let alone the protagonist

I want we can choose our nationality, is boring how in DA:2 and Inquisition the race doesn't care.

In DA:O if you  are human noble you even can be king/queen, or if you are a dwarf can become a paragon!

I wouldn't mind playing an Orlesian, as long as it wasn't the only option available. It could be interesting playing an Orlesian in Tevinter, much like playing a Vashoth or Tal-Vashoth.

The male voice would be Emile de Launcet and the female would be that elf with the olives of despair or whatever.

I want the female to have the voice of the random woman who loses her ring at the beginning of Wicked Eyes Wicked Hearts.

I am seriously hoping for a Tevinter native.

But if they could get Jean Reno to voice, I might be convinced.

I hope not. Last thing I want is my protag to have that pseudo French accent.

Same here, and I think BioWare knows how much people hate that accent.

I think that was simply because the games have been set in this part of Thedas, so coming from these places makes sense. Seeing as we are likely to go north in the next game, it wouldn't make sense for us to be Orlesian because no one in Tevinter would talk to us, besides slaves probably.

Getting an outsider is helpful since they can ask the who/what/where/when/why/how questions without seeming like they lived under a rock for decades or was suddenly born the day before.

However, they did fine in Origins when you were able to pick a human noble, who grew up knowing everything about Fereldan since you were the child of the second most powerful family in the whole nation.

I would like to play as a Tevinter native. I think it would work best because Tevinter is more isolated than the other nations and the PC would always be like an outsider if the PC is not from Tevinter.

They can have the PC be from small village which would excuse the PC from knowing anything about political figures or life in Minrathous.

Maybe they could do a mercenary or slave or merchant/house guard or something. Choosing a background would be nice.

I think what they should do is phrase the dialogue for the questions differently so that the information can be conveyed both by the PC and the character they're talking to, so even though the player doesn't know, the character does, but the player still gets the information.

And also just include more prompts to read the codex.

I sure hope not! I cant stand orlais and its people! (but IF it does for whatever reason turn out that we are from there, I hope for a good french accent)

But since we believe to be going to Tevinter I would much rather we be from there tbh. I love Ferelden but I am kinda tired of the protagonist being from there. If I were to choose anywhere but tevinter, I would say Scheron or Par-vollen (someone who went rogue or something of that nature). Also I kinda hope we are in different parts of thedas depending on what race we are. I know that's asking for ALOT, but I think it would be pretty darn cool.

I hope not - and it appears I'm not the only one. I've had enough of southern Thedas. Let me be from Tevinter, which should be an obvious choice since we'll probably be going there.

I think it would be better in that regard if the protag is from Anderfells or maybe Rivain.

I find orlesian accents sexy. Especially Stroud and Michel. Sad that most of the orlesians are sounding like bugs.

She is awesome, but i also like Bonny Sims at Skyhold. She actually has a gorgeous voice and accent.

I'd rather be a Tevinter in Tevinter. Seeing the country through the eyes of someone who's lived there a long time, not as a stranger.
