I don't care much about PC origin- it's pretty much irrelevant regardless, and only matters when it comes to how nice the voiced PC sounds.

That said, I would like an Orlesian companion. Say a Chevalier- flaws and virtues- or a Harlequin.

It helps that the Game is sufficient reason for any NPC to leave Orlais and provide reason to accompany an adventurer.

But if they could get Jean Reno to voice, I might be convinced.

Alright, but only if we get our very own tykebomb.

I don't think that playing a Tevinter actually works....

The simple fact is that even Dorian, who everyone loves, didn't see a problem with slavery and as well expressed NO interest in non-mages being given more rights. And Dorian is an artpical Tevinter.

I don't see why it wouldn't work, just because the PC may or may not have some toxic attitudes due to their upbringing. Cousland's a very popular origin, despite the fact that they don't say anything when Nan berates the elven servants... and lord knows Aeducan had opportunities to be the most awful, entitled, classist person in the world.

If we go to Tevinter I would like the protagonist to be Tevinter. I'm quite tired with southeners and their perspective of Thedas politics. Give me a different view.

If human mage Tevinter Magister or son/daughter of the Magister. If anything else then Tevinter slave.

That would exclude dwarves then since in Tevinter dwarves aren't just seen as merchants but seen as highly respected emissaries. Its the only place on the surface of thadas where dwarves are highly respected and not just seen as just money grubbing merchants.

To be hated by the Orlesians is to be truly blessed.

I think the new protag will be an agent of the inquisition... and by this logic that should make him/her Ferelden.

I hope not. I don't think I could stand playing a whole game with a silly faux French accent.
