Not to mention such high expectations from the child of the Galactic Savior, would go insane from the pressure and either jump out a window or go psychotically evil.

Shepard becomes more than just a military man, he's the galaxy wide saviour. Any potential spawn would be under the microscope. No alliance general would want to be known for sending the son of space jesus to his death. 

 

That's if Shepard Jr is even anything like Shepard. I'd imagine him to be something like Michael's son in GTA5.

Sure. That shouldn't stop the kid from performing well. If it bothers the kid, he/she should not be the military since it could be disastrous in a combat situation

Why? If Shepard is a spacer, his/her mother knows the dangers of being in the military and knew her son/daughter was in dangerous situations. I'm sure Shepard as a mother/father would understand since he/she was in near death situations all the time and even died once.

I know nothing about a Michael or his son in GTA 5 so that doesn't mean anything to me

Or at least the PC can claim this, but other characters will be skeptical. Or, if Shepard had a non-human lover, or partook in no romance at all, can outright call them a liar. In a twist, especially if Shep's lover was human, it may actually be true.

Personality theft sounds better for me. Someone who want to rule the Galaxy and endows itself with Shepards name and personality.
