Does over 600 improvements, fixes and corrections also mean nothing?
With this new patch i can put the "Graphic details" to ultra and still playing at 40-50 fps ♥

A shocking number of people don't even play the games they buy. Using things like completion #s in the industry without that in mind always goes awry.
Slightly of topic (again),if you own a PS4,you can look at your own DAI achievements,it also gives a percentage of how many PS4 DAI players also got those achievements,it's pretty mind blowing how many players fail to get some of the most basic of achievements, suggesting that many people didn't even finish the game.
They don't have EA breathing down their necks...
At least not yet anyways. LOL.

No. It does not.
I saw a post from a staff member not long ago on this forum saying that having 25% of Inquisition players purchase Trespasser was an incredibly optimistic target.
You do understand how small the chunk of players that actually post on the forums are? The people 'you know' are not representative of much.
Wait...Staff member??? On the forums? What mad world have I popped into and why is it not in black and white comic book style?
Most people in general don't even beat the games they buy.
I probably won't be beating deus ex any time soon sadly.
That one boss with the typhoon and cloak stonewalled me so hard it's not funny >.>
BioWare has more original IPs than CD Projekt Red, why is BioWare more creative than CD Projekt Red?
Cyber Punk 2077 is also based on something but that hardly makes it "not creative". Having an original IP is not the only hallmark of creativity.
Right from the first Witcher game, CDPR has always given me the impression of putting a near unmatched effort into their post launch support.
Whenever they release a game, you can expect improvements within a few days. And they iron out even the most minor glitches, stuff that most other dev studios wouldn't ever consider worth the bother. That his how their list of fixes gets so long. CDPR removes a tattoo incorrectly appearing when you choose a certain beard style. BioWare went on vacation while glitchy key drops forced people to restart maps in multiplayer. DA:Awakening still has the silverite mine bug that eats your equipment. Even back when Origins was out, BioWare gave me the impression that patches is something they do pretty reluctantly.
I do believe though that at least a part of the reason is that CDPR has much more freedom in deciding what their devs spend their time on. They can have their full dev team work on smoothing out the last quibbles instead of making a few fixes every few months with a skeleton crew.
I was being snarky (or at least trying to be).
Having a big patch doesn't necessarily mean they are dedicated. It might just mean they are bored or don't have other projects to work on but still need to do something to justify a paycheck.
Maybe they are dedicated, maybe they are enlightened game creators, I just posted that because all this CDPR stuff is kind of like all that Marvel vs DC crap.
Criticize BioWare? Sure, no problem, that's good. Wanting to glorify another company by pointing out how inferior BW is, that's just tactless. Not saying you are, but the pattern seems to be that way.
Edit: I'm sure CDPR is great. I don't care for The Witcher myself, but that's just me. Great job on patching, I guess, I don't know anything about it.
Edit2: DC is better than Marvel.

I think BW is spread out too thin, doing too much. Much better to have singular focus on one project than on multiple ones, in half-hearted fashion.

Well, they are the bigger company. About 800 employees (in 2010, can't find more recent numbers), 400 of them in Canada (per 2012). CDPR sits at about 230.
I think EA just moves a lot of staff to the next project or DLC after launch, leaving only a handful to deal with patches and support.

Sadly, I'm like this with the Civilization games.
Love the concept. Never can stick past a hundred turns unless I'm really sick.
Not a Unity vs. Wild Hunt post but Ubisoft had given games to the season pass owners for free ... or why is Ubisoft more dedicated when it comes to season pass?

We may never know. Why have they added so few new maps to Ghost Recon Phantoms? Mystery....

And why Witcher 3 had been downgraded and CDPR refused to acknowledge are mystery ...
Because CDPR are masters of their own destiny while EA is BW overlord. It's also the perception of how games are sold. In EA eyes a game is like a pizza, tasty quick and served immediatly to maximize the effect on the customer. CDPR approach to their games is like those of wine-makers it simply get better with each passing year. If you happen to wait for the bottle to fully mature and ready you will be enjoying a great experience. I for example bought TW3 but didn't played more than a couple of hours (despite being great) and decided to wait till the game is fully patched with all DLCs released to completely enjoy the experience, so when I open the bottle the wine will be superb.
BW though make fantastic pizzas and their seasonigs DLCs while overpriced certainly add extra taste to their products.

More power to you!
I don't have that patience... not with Witcher games, not with wine. Meh. ![]()

DAO = NWN3
ME = KOTOR3
Pretty obvious. Unless Bioware come with an original world I can't really say they have something original. They even ridiculously imitated races from Star Wars like Twi'lek -> Asari, not only visuals but also part of the features of the race. Originality is not even close to Bioware, I'd say they would have to look the meaning of the word on the dictionary. Bioware do not have IP, they have CUCP (cowardly uncreatively copied property)

Wow, you're working really hard to stretch that.
They use common tropes, a lot of works do. That doesn't mean its a copy or uncreative. Trying finding a similarity that isn't so superficial.
How is BioWare less dedicated about patches anyways?
They patch broken things.

I hear you. Kind of like how day 1 Fall Out 4 will be the worst version of the game...a year later, patched and modded to hell, a lot better.
Likely because W3 is far bigger than DAI and slightly tech demanding

Yeah right. First check what themselves admit. They do not deny their "influences", the problem is that they literally respect more of the "original source" than Witcher series. Meaning "The Witcher" is more original compared to the books than DAO and ME are to their "inspirations".
Yeah, yeah, everthing is a copy ok. But to copy visual and speech from other races, identical characters and plots, names of organizations, and so on. Like, ok, bad villain is common but Seeker of Truth and rifts and a supposed "herald of the chosen" (who can close rifts but in the end is not really a herald) in the same story? Really? Don't go "coicidence" and "inspiration" on me with such things. Saying someone copies LOTR fits what you said but copying Melisandre and Jhon Snow for instance is way mor specific as is the exemple above from Legend of the Seeker.
It is not about common tropes, not even close.
I don't know about that but the new patch of witcher fucks up the NG+ playthrough. Fixes a million things, crashes something else. And my brother now can't play his NG+ playthrough and he added the hotfix too.
(mine got fixed, thank zeus)
The new patch also adds things like better inventory and other things. But i'm not sure what's with the comparison since BW does also a good job on fixing things? I've never encountered any bugs, except one patch that messed the graphics because they did something wrong but they fixed it.

Still trying too hard to stretch that, but it's to be expected
