So this Krogan is screaming about all out war and a blood bath with the universe, and while he's doing this you can shoot a gas tank to blow em up, But it counts as renegade?
There was no way we weren't going to fight but why would this could as renegade if im just going to kill him in 5 seconds after he's done talking.

You wouldn't have known thats he's going to fight you unless you save/reloaded. You're a renegade, not a fortune-teller.

There are a couple other instances where you can still avoid a shootout if you don't take renegade actions.

You are right, the krogan blood gangster who stole a Salarian and screaming about how the blood gang and his clan will kill everyone and become the dominant force in the universe, You don't have to be a fortune teller to see that a fanatic krogan with his team is going to start shooting at you as soon as he stops screaming about taking over the universe in a blood bath.
Oh and Did I forget to say his opening line was "I would of already killed you if the chief hasn't said allow you to flee" but your so right, my paragon bar is just a tad short of full, but this makes me a renegade and I really thought i was a fortune-teller that's a bummer to hear.Image IPBImage IPB

You don't lose Paragon or anything, so take it with a grain of salt. The Renegae interupt on Miranda's personal quest is the most badass thing commander Shepard has ever done, so make sure you see it.

Rumination does have a point with some situations, but in that one it's blatantly obvious you're going to be fighting regardless of what happens.

I understand. Its okay. No one likes to think their actions are "bad". You're a good person. Yes you are. Yes you are!

You are a renegade because you didn't kill out of self-defense. Killing someone that TALKS about killing others isn't self-defense. Plain and simple.

Bioware did a good job in goading people to take the renegade path in this one.

I think you are viewing the renegade option as bad.

I am a pure Paragon player in that I always feel bad even when being a dick in video games. Just how I am. But I have never ever done so much renegade interrupts and enjoyed them like I have with ME2. I FEEL like a hardened soldier making tough calls and sometimes just showing bad guys I will bring the thunder.

Smacking up the detainee on Thane's quest. Gunning up the Krogan for Mordin's. So many solid interrupts. I'm going to do the interrupt to sabotage the gunship - wonder if it prevents Garrus's scarring?

the interupts are the best damned thing they every implented into a game. i seriously love them. Paragon interupts are typical of what you expect, stopping someone from making a bad desicion and Renegade just makes them wish they never met you.

I'm a better person in ME than I ever will be in real life.

How depressing.
