I noticed something when playing a bard they have no weakness none whatsoever. If you play your hand right you can make bard do more damage then a fighter and you can make a bard invincible against any caster so where they op?

You can optimise any class and make a character seem over-powered in the OC. The game was no-doubt designed to be playable for casual gamers who don't have the D&D knowledge to fine-tune their characters, or don't have the patience to use optimal strategies for dealing with situations. You can pretty much hack-and-slash your way through the OC with little or no thought.

You can make your way through the OC blindfolded, while pleasuring three mermaids. At least I think they were mermaids...

Bards have a fair amount going for them. But they have to be played as a melee character with spell casting mainly ignored. (Fighting feats only)

If a Bard continually uses the courage inspiration to buff hit and damage, that approximately cancel's the difference between Medium and High BA. That leaves spells and songs to compare with the pluses other High BA classes get. It looks good on paper with spells like ghostly vision, mirror image etc.

The main problem with Bards IMHO is that they cannot use Cha as a dump attribute, so their primary fighting attributes (Str, Dex, Con) have to be correspondingly lower. This is somewhat mitigated with high skills giving in effect an Int boost.

Can they not used WIS as a dump stat?

Most fighters can use both Wis and Char as dump stats, Bards only get Wis. In other words one less dump stats than our typical Fighter.

You probably don't need Int that high, because you get plenty of skill points anyway. If Mithril Plate is available then you don't need many points in Dex either (none in MOTB). Unless you're going for EDM, even Charisma doesn't need to be very high, 16 with items will do. Bard is far from the worst class when it comes to buying stats.
