I've made a very simple mod I call "Seggrich" which causes the Haven vendor Seggrit to buy items from you at 10,000 times their normal price. It's a great way to start off the game with a ridiculous amount of money so you can buy crafting materials from the Black Emporium and whatever else you might want.

I got tired of loading up Cheat Engine whenever I started a new Inquisitor and going through the gold modification process. Simple as that is, this is simpler, and I am lazy enough to just make a mod to save myself a few minutes in the future.

EDIT: I have put Seggrich version 1.0 up on nexusmods. Have fun with it!

Here's a vote for posting it :) Gathering up money that early in the game is driving me batty and I'd absolutely love a mod for it.  But this thread may fit in a little better in the Fan Creations forum, though.

Sounds cool. Having to massacre Snoufleurs for gold is tiresome to say the least.

You can have as much gold as you want without a "mod". Either the CE table or the Save Editor will allow you to give yourself a crapton of gold without having to merge a mod.

Yes, of course. As I mentioned in the OP. Thing is, it is a *lot* easier to just sell some junk to Seggrit than it is to load up Cheat Engine, alt-tab to the game, go to a vendor, alt-tab back to Cheat Engine, search for your gold amount in Cheat Engine, alt-tab back to the game, buy or sell something, alt-tab back to Cheat Engine, change the gold value in Cheat Engine, alt-tab back to the game, and finally save the game. Also, the Save Editor had a tendency to corrupt saves for me, so I don't trust it.

The Seggrich mod does more than that, though. It also changes the tier 1 gear Seggrit sells to schematics, so you can make better versions yourself. And yes, I am aware that you can do *that* in Cheat Engine, too (in fact it is how I got many of my favorite drop-only schematics before the Golden Nug), but don't even get me started on how tedious that process is.

At any rate, I have posted Seggrich version 1.0 on nexusmods!

Have fun with it!
