I found an amazing exploit that is just ridiculously overpowered and game breaking. I'm currently in the Frostback Basin using a 2h Templar. I'm using the best 2H (Chromatic Greatsword) and the best offensive gear (Superior Battlemaster Armor) with Tier 1 mats.

 

I went into a group of Hakkonite archers/warriors and they all had around 50k HP with the trials on. I clicked WrathPurge combo for 18k dmg PLUS ANOTHER 18K FIRE DMG FROM CHROMATIC GREATSWORD. For some reason,  your Chromatic Greatsword deals elemental damage based on your WP hit.

 

I thought this was a fluke. I did the exploit continuously and it worked each time. Once I get my min/max gear, my combo should be doing instant 70k dmg on upgraded NPCs

This is by design. It is a chance on hit, be it ability or auto attack.. Should also point out that there is really no best offensive gear. With a 2h, you should be focusing on crit to get the most out of your debuffs and cool downs to spam abilities.. not Attack% from Metal Utility. Hell, the difference between a revered defender armor and Superior battlemaster armor+arms and legs is 8 utility, which makes up for a total of.. 8 attack percentage if you stick every point as strength. Really negligible in the long run Especially when you are criting non stop, sundering, weakening and terrifying (reaver only) your enemies all the while reducing your personal cool downs.

now get a master work with target exolodes on kill for 75% or apply walking bomb / hidden blades x5 and dupe to damage figures even more.

With the new update, it made the 2H tree completely useless bar Flow of the Battle. I am using a 2H Templar who already has 64% critical chance and 111% attack. Cool down times are already manageable due to Blessed Blades + Flow of the Battle. When I can't use the WrathPurge combo, I am spamming Combat Roll, which has a 1.9 sec CD. I also use Horn of Valor, which has a short CD times as well. My build wants to maximize attack, and Mighty Offense covers critical damage.

I've barely messed around with the chromatic/prismatic weapons (I'm playing as a mage, so no chromatics for me), and I could have told you how they work, lol. The elemental damage mirrors the damage output of your initial attack. So yeah, the wombo combo's gonna be a little crazy. But this applies to any other damaging attack, so yeah...have fun.

If you find the 2H tree completely useless, you are doing it wrong. 

Chains for days into Taunt into Void Whirlwind + Clear a path = so much win.
