Sorry if this is a topic that's been done multiple times (I'm new to the forum, though not to the game; just finished playthrough #8 tonight!). I'm curious to hear people's favorite locations in the ME galaxy. For me:
Fave overall: Omega. In ME2, it had such a neat grit, dark color scheme, and "feel" to it. Especially after ME1 was fairly low key, then you hit Omega to get Mordin, you meet Aria (and hear Omega's one rule), and suddenly you just feel how this game will be different. It was great to revisit it in the Omega DLC in ME3, even if the story felt a bit jerky. I agreed with Aria: "Ah, the Omega skyline." Loved the different locations in the DLC: the catwalk, the dark mining factory, the eezo mining conveyor belts, the fan infrastructure, revisiting Mordin's district... loved it. Even the loading screens struck me as cool.
Most beautiful location was Lessus (though Aite puts in a close second, followed by Zorya). Asari architecture is gorgeous to me, and the blue hues against the snowy mountains and the empty feel... I loved it. So sorry to blow the place up! Liked Thessia, too, but the emptiness and no-roads and minimal skyscrapers of Lessus felt great.
Shepard's apartment, and the whole Silversun Strip, needs an honorable mention, though. The neon lights, the neon plants (nice touch), the energy of the strip, and then the just-plain-cool feel of the apartment were awesome. I'm hoping Jesus lets one of the mansions in heaven look like Shepard's apartment.
I'm curious to hear what locations others loved.
