Is there any evidence for this? The dumped part.
Yeah? Do what she just said. Unhardened alistair without a human noble queen and you get dumparoonied.
I wonder what OP thinks of solas.

As AnUnculturedLittlePotato said. If you don't harden him, you will have a squishy King who will dump you (if you are a mage or not human). If he's hardened, you can be his mistress, but he will marry Anora.
Anora is a better ruler and Loghain is a better Grey Warden. My Alistair threw the baby out with the bath water and QQ'd to a pub to live for the end of his days.
Warden's a better prince consort too ![]()

Right right. I forgot he doesn't want to have a mistress. Does that only happen if he marries Anora?

Pretty sure it's regardless.

Or Blackwall. Or Bull. Or Anders. I sense a trend...

All the more reason to romance Leliana.
All the more reason to romance Leliana.
I loved the Trespasser ending for them!

That's... not really how picking romances works for most people.
Slow day I take it?

For the OP, probably. I hope so, at least.

I think I was lucky with all my firsts. In DAO I picked Zevran. He's still with my Warden. Fenris was my first, he's probably back with Hawke now. And Bull was my first in DAI. He and my Inquisitor will be getting married.
lol 2 GW are not going to likely have a baby and if you aren't noble and Alistair isn't hardened, you will be dumped.

If Alistair is hardened, he keeps you as his mistress.
Makes sense. All that hardening in the camp at night gotta yield some future results.

Nice. My canon Warden, Hawke, and Inquisitor are forever alone, and my alternate Inquisitor is married to Cullen. So not very consistent in terms of happiness ![]()
Or you could restart the game (like I did during my first Amel playthrough, I accidentally hardened Alistair so I restarted the game as another Amell which ended the game with an unhardened Alistair who doesn't declare himself king in the Landsmeet and so I kept him a Warden. ) I
Yeah I think many did that when that shocker happened lol for me though I can't stand Alistair as a romance. I'm a sucker for a challnge. He's too... proper, but he was my bro, even though he still held a grudge in DA2 for me sparing Loghain.

Cullen was technically my first ever romance, but I never finished the game with him because I lost my computer and had to reinstall without any way to back it up at the time. I romanced Solas after knowing what he was all about because I found his romance really connected with the main story. It's my fav for tragic ones, Anders is a close second. Only difference is, you can still have Anders.

I never kept Loghian alive, you see. I accidentally hardened him. And I like Loghian in DAI! He's awesome! But I have a Queen Cousland as my canon so yeah. Dead Loghian. And she romanced him (I'm such a sucker for Alistair, he's so cute. I love him in romances, I never romanced Zevran because of I love him so much. )
I tried, but he just ended up a bro. My sarcastic Warden was just coming off as his sister. I did romance him later though and became Queen. Only one left is Morrigan. I have romanced everyone else.
I had the strangest first experience with DAO. I had an ending where everyone lived, everyone was happy, all their personal quests complete, best epilogue ever and I was like... what... where's the drama and pain? How did I manage that? lol so I played again to tried different things, but my first ending will always stand out to me.

Technically they don't HAVE to dump you.
Solas is really the only one who won't bang ok :< shame really.

Can't you still marry alistair and keep loghain?

Yeah, you can stay with them, but I just meant that all of them either can or will betray you in some way. Actually, if Cullen takes lyrium...
This thread is going places. Places it didn't need to go.
Can I have your sliders pls?

He doesn't marry Anora, only if you selected the option he does that.
I hate the mistress ending, you are the Hero of Ferelden, you practically alone saved the world, even Morrigan does more than Alistair, and at the end you are the "second wife" of the king

So you become his mistress to another Queen? I always wondered what happened if Anora is dethroned and Alistair takes it, but you are not a noble.
Yeah it's not fair. I will never take that option either.
If this makes any better, you can make Alistair kills Loghain and it will void his chance of him marrying Anora.
