Halo CE was released in 2001 and most of the levels in that game are larger than most modern games!!! Come on BioWare, make us be really surprised and show us what you can really do! Try to do something like EVE Online where the game is limitless in size and scale (detailed too) and it would be great for planet scanning! if a low budget company can do it than I, no WE know you can do it BioWare! Don't let EA bully you again!

EVE Online has the advantage of being set in space. What they've done is impressive however it's basically the point of the game. And they mostly have to hang balls in an empty skybox to create content. BioWare doing something similar with detailed terrain and people to talk to seems a stretch.

While I love Halo: CE its levels are long chains of smaller areas gated by cleverly hidden load points. The big open areas while something game design should borrow from more often aren't bigger than Inquisition's big open areas, they're just much better designed.

As for EA, they're bullying so far has amounted to BioWare being granted an extra year of development time to add to a game that arguably is too big for its own good. If you want bigger games then someone's going to have to pay for them.

Bigger levels does not mean better levels as then you must create content to exist in that bigger world which can become problematic and time consuming on a development side.  On the other hand you would then have people complaining about quest or missions that have nothing to do with the main game or just labeling everything as a "fetch quest" to pad things.

It should be more about finding the right balance for the game than just making a game bigger for the sake of being bigger.
