Lots of actors I love. Each and every one of them is amazing. They aren't even roled for voice-over only, they will also be doing performance capture too. How exciting!

My personal wish is that Mark Strong getting casted in ME:A. Star Citizen got him first. I wonder who will be casted as important members in ME:A.

Yeah... first time I saw a game trailer and immediately recognized the actor. Admiral Bishop stepped up and my first thought was "Gary Oldman!".

SC seems to be stuck in the never ending development cycle. I'm looking forward to the finished game. But right now? I'm glad I invested in SC with zero dollars.

As a huge Star Wars and Indiana Jones fan, I'd love to see Mark Hamill and John Rhys Davies signed for Mass Effect. Gary Oldman would be epic casting as a villain, assuming he wasn't written like Kai Leng.

A colossal waste of money, but I guess the backers wanted it. I watched the Gary Oldman CGI speech and I'm surprised the Star Spangled Banner didn't break out in the end. So overdone.

I know nothing of this game except it has something to do with space and it is in development since forever.

It's good for SC but in terms of what it means for ME:A, absolutely nothing. I don't remember too many complaints about the VAs used throughout the Shepard trilogy and I suspect we'll be as equally pleased with ME:A eventually.

Yeah they'll likely go with a similar approach to the first trilogy with VA's I think. I hope so too because aside from the obvious flaws of ME3's ending the rest of the package was pretty solid certainly there was nothing wrong with the voice acting that I could tell anyway.

Why not? They ripped off Wing Commander 3 in plenty of other ways.

The only time VAing is ever really talked about in a negative light is usually when people are explaining why they played FemShep or BroShep, where choice it seemed, often came down to either side thinking that either Hale's or Meer's performance weren't up to scratch compared to the other.

The impending video game VO's strike may have an impact.

That would make already expensive celebrity VAs more expensive.  <_<

This is what I've read on the internet way to often. 3 Year of development is hardly 'never ending', and for a game as big as this one?... Folks are so used to the 3-4 year as the absolute maximum development cycle that they forget that not all games are the same. I blame this to the yearly CODs and ACs (and now apparently Far Cry is going to join the party), but people know what they get with those games.

Look, I'm no backer. I'm not even following the game that actively, but have you checked RSI website or their Youtube channel? they are updating constantly. Their channel is releasing like 3 videos per day or something talking about various stuff, including updates on the work they're doing and whatnot.

I know nothing of this game except it has something to do with space and it is in development since forever

Well, you said it. You know nothing, lol.

Also, the way I wrote this kinda looks like I'm super angry. I'm not. It just annoys me a bit that people who are not even following the game dare saying stuff like 'they will never finish it at this rate' or 'it's a waste of money'.

Maybe I should take a look at that game.  Paid like fifty bucks well over a year ago thinking I was getting into something else and forgot about it.

That is one expensive cast. Also a decent amount of stunt casting with sci-fi stalwarts in there.

At best, Mass Effect had one big actor, two fan favorite actors, and two stunt-casts to it.  Hopefully the trend continues and we get something similar to a Mark Hamill in a role.

Wether you like it or not the game is one year behind on it's original release date. The finances are in doubt as no details have been released. While i don't claim to know all the details involved, neither do you.

Also you wrote "It just annoys me a bit that people who are not even following the game DARE saying stuff like "they will never finish at this rate". Who the hell do you think are reserve the right wether people can DARE to voice an opinion.

I don't follow the game, and i'm sadly not on board with Star Citizen and how things have been handled thus far.

That said, it was basically a hedge fund, so it's expected. All kickstarter projects are risk-reward projects, if it fails, it fails, people should not be entitled to refunds in that way, even though Kickstarter has now made that a thing.

Yeah I agree personally I felt they weer pretty equal as I felt both actors did a good job. Although I do know how they feel though because I feel the asme about the Inquisitor and how Alix played her as I felt she did an outstanding job compared to the other 3 voices.

I remember seeing concept art and pictures long time ago. I did not bash the game (I hope it delivers) so I don't know how I have managed to annoy you. People are so sensitive these days.

They can spend a ton of money on game play voice acting and like Destiny, spend the plot budget on hookers and blow.

Star Citizen is going to be about game play and acquisition with cutscenes and voice acting thrown in. Just my opinion, but I've seen enough MMORPGS. Plot? It can't be too deep otherwise you lose people. Get mission > go out and shoot things > get loot > return > level up > get perks. Wash, rinse, repeat. Play with your friends online for hours, months, years.

Why does it make you wonder about Andromeda? I am personally expecting at least one of those actors for Star Citizen to turn out to be exactly like Peter Dinklage in Destiny for just because they can act with people doesn't mean they can do voice work.  BioWare has a good track record of voice acting and its why you keep seeing the same people doing voice acting for them repeatedly because they know those people can preform to certain levels.
