Snoufleurs are such cute little beasties. They lumber innocently through life, making cute noises and generally snoufleuring around. They'd never harm a fly. But I have mercilessly slaughtered thousands of them. The frozen Elfsblood river is littered with their corpses. It should be renamed the Snoufleursblood river.

 

You may ask why I'm single-handedly wiping out an entire species from Thedas? The answer is that my Inquisitor has become like Solas: willing to assassinate millions just to get what he desires. All this vicious Snoufleur murder is in the faint hope that I might beat the 0.0000000000001% drop rate for a fade-touched skin.

 

Seriously, the RNG sucks. There must be a better way.

I pity those dumb, lumbering creatures. They're so damn slow that it's a wonder their species survives at all. Most times you can just walk up to them.

I also pity the gurn. So many headless gurn corpses ... why does everyone feel the need to decapitate the gurn?

Such a sad thread.   Only thing I will ever kill in real life is rattlesnakes (using a long handled hoe...they have bitten one of my horses before and he almost died and they have killed neighbors' dogs). But I spent an hour yesterday, slaughtering snoufleurs while working on my Great Bear Hermit killing thingie...finally had to go to Emerald Graves for the last two great bear but I got the achievement.

I seriously wish one of the Fade Rifts in Jaws of Hakkon that dropped Fade Touched Dawnstone was replaced by a Rift dropping Fade-Touched Snowfleur Skin.

So my party was running around the Hinterlands, doing our thing, with me cursing my party for slaughtering innocent wildlife but also feeling very tense because of all the bears and ninja guys attacking us right and left, and all the sudden my IQ hears a noise and turns and starts the slaughter of an innocent fennec. Of course Cass and Dorian were shouting with joy for the killing of the little thing but my IQ felt like he was a innocent wildlife traitor, for not just joining in, but starting that whole thing.

Yeah, I'm committing genocide on those poor critters due to gold and Fade Touched skins.  I am a horrible, horrible person, I know.  Especially hearing some of the most blood curdling renditions of 'DIE!' that the Inquisitor seems to be saving JUST for the innocent and helpless that they slaughter.  Really, you CAN'T muster up on of those when I down a High Dragon or a Behemoth?  REALLY?  I haven't had a protagonist this blood thirsty since the Warden or Kratos, seriously.  You'd think there would be some negative karmic retribution for the utterly needlessly weak being butchered in such a manner (though perhaps Iron Bull was having a party...do those things make decent steaks?  No, don't tell me...I'd just slaughter more...).

During a trip to the Exalted Plains, a bunch of Halla got in the way of a battle with demons... it wasn't pretty... Cass and Cole ran off screaming battle cries and viciously slaughtered the last 2 Halla that had tried to escape with their lives.

I do the same for nugs. Their squeak annoys the hell out of me.

Let's also not forget how useful Snoufleur hide is for cross-classing rogue armor (gives mages a better crit chance -> more Flashpoint), and for building focus.

I'm not 100% sure, but it always seemed like my focus built faster on lower-armor targets. Maybe overkill damage counts toward focus? Regardless, I always went on a mass snoufleur extermination rampage before killing dragons.
