I loved Trespasser, and have spent well over 200+ hours on DAI. The game is awesome. With all the lore and adventure, you can't help but get attached to the characters. I was a bit saddened though that after Trespasser I wasn't able to go back to see some of the new gear I obtained, play with the tint, etc. I know it's over - I get that. But, we should be able to at least go back to the Winter Palace to "celebrate" a little. Using a save game doesn't work well depending on where you saved, and when you got gear, etc. Maybe this could be added yet? Thoughts?
Why not let us roam Winter Palace after Trespasser?

It's possible that, because of the changes they made to the Inquisitor's model for the final cutscenes, they won't do this.

I thought of that, surely there's a simple fix, or a way to cover "it" up and make it disappear? Or we can just "pretend" it's not there?
I mean it would just be a way to revisit your character and the final gear they had acquired, not have anything to do with the story anymore. Kind of like the Black Emporium, ya know?

I wish they put "talking to companions" scenes after you beat the main story, like in Citadel DLC. That would also allow them to make a comment about Inky's missing hand and Solas.
Even better - yes. That would be awesome. So maybe allow us to talk to some of our friends at Winter palace one last time, like we did in Skyhold? Just seems like Trespasser ended quite abruptly. I know it's the end, but at least let us say our goodbyes.

Even in the Winter Palace normally we were stuck in the formal outfit. I don't really see how we would be revisiting the gear other than to look at it in our inventory.
The changes to the model are a bigger deal than you realize. The ONLY times we see the new model are in scripted cutscenes where we don't see our Inquisitor do anything more strenuous than stand around, walk, gesture with the remaining arm, and stab a table; all of which I'm sure were worked on minutely for each race and gender to make them look as normal as possible.
Now, think about a REAL person with only one arm (or half an arm, as in this case). Their movement is basically the same because the brain is trained to move that way. A person who is used to making gestures with two hands will likely gesture with an arm and a stump afterward. The next time you play the game look at the jumping animation: your character moves both arms during the jump to maintain stability. These are the kinds of things they put in the game to make movement seem natural. I doubt that the one-armed model would function the same as the two-armed model because they knew they wouldn't have a need for that when they made it.
As far as covering it up or suddenly reverting to your old model goes, I would be against that simply because of the RP value. I was completely shocked to see my Inquisitor walk out there with his sleeve pinned up and I immediately thought of the circumstances, his reaction, and all that. To then suddenly have it back would be annoying and would hurt they story the were trying to tell.
And you know... there does come a time for things to end, and this was it.
The only thing I might change about the ending sequence was in the final group scene were everyone leaves one-by-one, after which your LI returns and stands beside you. I get that they had to make a scripted scene with everyone leaving, and having them all leave allows them to plug that same cinematic in for everyone. But I did think that the LI leaving and then coming back was a bit odd. Like... shouldn't they just have stayed in the first place? But as I said, I understand the reason for that as well.

I love that you still have access to the open world after the vanilla game but after Trespasser, I don't know. There wouldn't really be that much to do.

That's the one thing that felt wrong. Companions should have reacted to Solas when he was revealed. Instead you are forced through the mirror alone and have to assume Solas unsealed the one you went through so your companions could return you to the palace. Though many think the Inquisitor lopped off their own arm, it simply disintegrated so they would be without an arm when the companions would arrive and then we'd see them all returning together as they asked them if they were alright, and they would tell them what happened. Spirit Cole at this point would have to fess up he knew the truth all along.

Agreed 1000%. This was my one major complaint about Trespasser.

Disbanding the inquisition and everyone going off in their own direction made it seem pointless for any further exploration.
I do wish we had some extended cutscenes like everyone saying goodbye to Skyhold. Maybe my inquisitor looking one last time over the balcany. Watching as the banners are taken down one by one.
What ever did happen to skyhold anyway? Did it just get emptied out?

Skyhold was Solas' old castle so I doubt they will stay in it now. Before they found out the truth though, Bull mentioned Skyhold in banter, so they were planning to return once the council was over.

Yeah, the Inquisition still used Skyhold for at least some time afterwards. One of Leliana's slides mentions her being in the rookery like normal.

Well, we already looted everything that wasn't bolted down (and even some things that were) during Wicked Eyes. I would imagine Celene had the locks changed since then, especially since we stole the halla keys as well... ![]()

According to Patrick Weekes the arm was removed afterward because it was too damaged to save.
Twitter link. There is a spoiler masking thing there, so I will just post the actual statement:
But I do agree about not having the companions though. It was a bit jarring to land the killing blow on the Saarebas and suddenly be without my party, then to look back and see them all standing around like morons.

I know but Weekes did not say we cut it off, so I'll assume it was already missing. It just looked odd and ghostly when Solas leaves. There seemed to be no flesh left.

I assumed that its because its a very expensive, private building with relatively high levels of security and the owners don't want you there forever. ![]()

Patrick Weekes has never heard of health potions, obviously.
