You know, the devs resorting to the argument that the entire epilogue of a game being just rumours because it would be too much of a headache to try and fix the loose ends in the trilogy is just insulting.

Rumours my ass. If they put it in the game, they're canon. Otherwise, don't open that many choices for the player and then pretend they didn't matter in the first place.

And yes, I saw that epilogue slide where Cullen snaps and kills three mages.

This is the same guy that advises you to slaughter Irving and the surviving mages. As if genocide were the solution to any problem.

The only thing that made him realise what a psycopath he had become was having a glimpse of what he would become in the future if he continued down this path: Meredith.

Otherwise, he would continue to be a monster. So thanks, Meredith, for being in Act 3 a shining example of everything a templar should not be.

You still was not a Templar and not a Templar commander, so you kill some mages but not as much as others by the lore

And yeah your hawke was a stupid to side with meredith and a betrayer of his father, unckle(not a gamlen) and sister and others mages who are related to his family and friends

And your Hawke get nothing from this, like really=)

My Hawke killed a bunch of idiot blood mages, because she knew it was not going to end peacefully. A blood mage killed her mother by using her head as part of the pieces he fused together to recreate his dead wife and Orsino was more than happy to learn of his experiments and support them. Then we have Anders blowing up the Chantry killing innocent people along with his intended target. Bye-bye mages! She became a viscountess for the time being and then returned to help viscount Varric rebuild Kirkwall after her job with the Inquisition was done. I think she got something out of it and I'm proud I played her that way.

PS: This is the same guy MAGE players fall in love with.

Even knowing how he would treat them as less than human beings.

Some people are like that. Can't be helped.

Your father was a blood mage and your brother/sister would work with blood mages(Cullen as templar addict only is not, only if we would not say that filactery is "not a blood magic") and your heroine use blood magic herself

Anders kill "innocents" who kill previous Viscont and Dumar Viscont son and do many "innocent" things for more than 10 years for what many Kirkwall peoples especially nobles hate them, and Anders was not from Kirkwall and a grey warden

And your heroine does not become any Viscountess and be remembered as a coward and a crazy who sided with red templar and those butchers who are banned by even Orlais Chantry..not think that Varrick can save her for long cos she would have a lot of people who would hate her and wanted dead for the rest of her life, as you know there was a lot of noble mages childrens in that Circle...and templars kill those as others childrens and hundreds who was not a blood mages

Oh? The entire chantry is to blame for the actions of a few?
Citizens killed by falling debris are to blame for the actions of people they literally did not know?
Wow where have I head that shut down before.

Completely neutral about Cullen, neither like him nor dislike him and don't really get the extreme hate. To me he is a boring character with little to offer but not worthy of hate. I also get why he appeals to women. He is wounded but tough man archetype who can only achieve salvation via whichever female is romancing him, specifically through the lyrium scenes, thus validating the ego of the woman romancing him as he needs her all the while being utterly devoted to her. That's fine, no need to hate that.

Really it mostly boils down, for me at least, that he's completely hypocritical with how he treats samson and how he absolves himself of all guilt.
I simply can't stand people like that. I have dealt with enough of them in my life.

No, actually, they're not. When making a series, many things change. Accept it and move on.

He changes over time and regrets his former actions and opinions. That's more than most people can say.

Not true, in fact. You'd know that if you watched the video someone linked here.

What kind of few if it was a work of a organization....they sized controll over Kirkwall after Kirkwal said that they does not need Orlais and their templars to command them

I see only Chantry members to be killed and i do not need to remind how many was killed by Templars-Chantry actions before and after Qunary and by Templars slaugters in a city after Chantry was blow

for more than 10 years Chantry with their Templars was do a sh*t for Kirkwall

And Chantry herself was a instrument of Seekers powerhunger and world controll, they lie, brainwash, opress and slaugter, and they was know what they are doing

well, to be fair, he wants you to kill everyone in the tower after the bloodmages tortured him and pretty much killed everyone in the tower. It's not like he's rushing in killing the rest of the "good" mages. His fear doesn't come from nowhere.

How exactly is cullen not guilty but samson is.
Please enlighten us as to how one person can be in the same circumstances as another and be found guilty but cullen can't be guilty? I'd love to hear how your precious child who can do no wrong is literally perfect.
Go on, I'm waiting.

My non-blood mage Hawke wanted blood mages to stop killing so she did what was best in her eyes and did not regret her choice. And forcing her father to use blood magic to seal Corypheus does not make him a blood mage. And the Qunari killed the viscount and his son died by a Chantry sister, not Ferelden refugees, kids and nobles who mostly suffered from Anders actions.

However this is role playing and that was my choice.

No one's choice makes them stupid or bad, it's their game. You see it your way and I see it mine, and I'm fine with that.  :)

Some people is blind and can't see the "monster" he is. You can agree with what he do, as equal someone can agree with the terrorist of the 11 of September, or the tolerance is dead at some point?

I agree it's funny. I actually like seeing the changes in this character.

Cole writes a message to Cullen:
"Uldred marked you, but didn't make you. You stayed you."
This is not spoken by Cole, but is sent in a message to Cullen from Cole and can be heard being delivered to Cullen in Cullen's office at Skyhold.

Nice touch adding in the guy's struggles, and breaking away from the past

Cullen has had PTSD since the Circle incident and he's a recovering drug addict. Gotta give him some props.

He appeals to women because...what else do we have.  Iron Bull who'd sleep with his mother...Black...excuse me...Ranier who stole someone's name after he ordered his men to murder a family...or Cullen who's a decent guy who went through a ****** of a time and actually comes out ahead.

Decent guy = "the mages don't deserve be treated like people, they are weapons" "If you don't kill Irving and other mages, you are a stupid"

Meredith was the maker in person?

Say it true please, you are with him because he is a pretty athletic sentimental blond. If he looks like that you won't romance him:
