Shepard as a new Hackett or Anderson

I know I'm probably just dreaming but wouldn't it be nice if we had our Shepard in some ME future game, filling a role like Hackett or Anderson in ME trilogy?

I mean, she/he would have the face and personality (paragon or renegade) that each of us chose in the trilogy and we could interact with her/him, be friends, take orders, listen to advice or whatever.

And all of this assuming, of course, that you picked Destroy and your Shepard survives. If don't, Shepard could be replaced with another random character for this role.

(Sorry, I don't know if this has already been a topic. If yes, just ignore me! And sorry as well for any grammar mistakes. English is not my first language)

Wouldnt actually be bad... but hard to implement... I mean each of our shepards looks different and such unless they implant something like the one in DAI... Though BW might railroad my character soo still on the fence with this >.>

Shouldn't it be I should go?

I'd rather my Shepards stay dead.

Either or.

"Reminds me of dealing with Cerberus. I need to think on this. I should go."

Hmm not sure on this one.

I wouldn't mind knowing what actually happened to Shephard or have Andromeda just give him subtle nod hear and there but I don't think I would want him to return as an NPC or anything like that.

I wouldn't mind it if the game was set in the Milky Way.

It wouldn't work for Andromeda however, where the colonists are almost certainly setting out either during or before the Reaper War.

I don't think the Alliance is promoting the controlling intelligence of giant galaxy destroying space cuttlefish, so....no.

If it were after the Reaper war (and Andromeda is set after the Reaper war), then they would have to go with the Destroy ending or retcon the ending completely and that might mean a lot of upset people that chose otherwise or finally managed to come to terms with the damn thing one way or another... Hey, on the other hand, if it meant the ending would get thrown away as the trash it is somehow, then sign me the hell up.

Seriously now, I love my Shepard to bits and she did make it through the war and I would totally love hearing about her at least, but I'm not sure I'd want BioWare to manhandle her as they see fit. I mean, Hackett and Anderson were... well, let's just say that I wouldn't call them smart or great leaders from what I've seen in my games.

If Shepard were to have a position like that, he/she would do a better job than Hackett and Anderson.

Hackett and Anderson had plenty of that.

Uuuh... no thanks. Shepard's story is done and 3/4 of the endings to 3 kinda make that impossible. I'd like a new Alliance Admiral voiced by another big name star.

Here's hoping. I guess Shepard has at least proven to be more proactive, resourceful, willing and flexible. I like to think there would be no things like sending us "where the resistance is the thickest" or sitting idle during the most crucial moments and letting one person handle everything with Shepard. (Well, I know there wouldn't with my Shepard. But I worry that might be the danger of having Shepard as an NPC.)

You know that feeling of "better having it back that way than having nothing at all"? That's what I was thinking when I came up with this idea. I'm not over Shepard and friends just yet.

But now I think you are probably right, it would be too dangerous to touch this wound. They would probably not have it right and make us more upset than pleased.

I know that feeling. :) For what it's worth, I think it's a pretty cool idea! I guess I would be a bit worried about the execution and that's about it. Because I go with the Destroy ending, I have to say that, speaking just for myself and nobody else, I'd be pretty okay with that as long as BW managed to pull it off in an inoffensive way. (Maybe only surviving Shepard could have a small cameo like that?) I think they did something like that with Hawke in DAI? (I haven't played DAI yet, so I don't know much about it or how good it is.)

They can't set out during the Reaper War, the galactic economy and level of technology does not permit such an undertaking.

And break my personal canon of Shepard living it up in the refurbished sunset strip with all the money reclaimed from her old account with billions of credits she lost after being pronounced dead? No thanks.

I'd prefer a crippled Shepard being now the Shadow Brocker (staying out the camera so no prob with the face and the gender) and say behind his omnitech-deepthroat voice stuff like "makes me remembering the old days..."

"I thought Asari needed other species to reproduce."

And everyone in the Milky Way knows The Shepard. Everyone carries a little of her essence now because she added it to the Crucible. And everyone is a little dumber.
