Well, bad as in they were so stupid that i did not like it :P

I mean the monster were only going to killing you not torturing you or doing anything horrible to you other than killing you. So I cannot see how anyone would take their own lives if they were "only" being killed. I just can't see it.

i must admit he was pretty quick to pull the trigger i blame it on the mist or fog  that's the culprit they couldn't see anything and seeing is believing lol..for tragic endings in a movie or game its one of my all time favorites its epic for what it is i must admit i really only like the ending of the mist don't like all of the movie.

2 more for good luck huh lol...in my opinion if commander shepard had to die he should have gone out just like this

As far as Hollywood goes, I'd have gladly swapped Oblivion's ending for the one we got...

It features Tom "Let me tell you a little about Scientology" Cruise.  No.

Yes.

It isn't a great Sci Fi movie, but it's entertaining and worth a cheap rental. The initial premise of the movie is a little goofy, but really no more than Mass Effect. It does have a much more intimidating version of the Catalyst and a much better ending.

I found it ok, too. It was entertaining, but had its flaws. ;) I watched it onTV shortly after I finished ME and thought "why couldn´t they implement such an option in there." I mean the whole "screw you and take it with you" part.

I believe that an ending should be a direct result of your previous actions and decisions. Which means not adding a last second choice that stomps all over what you previously did. It's annoying and the surprise that generates soon becomes frustration and little more. Also, it's up to the player to make some sense after it, remembering all that you did and why you did it and how this affects that and etc etc etc..too much homework for something that should be conclusive. I honestly don't care so much about happy o saddy, i just don't want crappy.

I enjoyed it too. As you say, not a classic, but I liked those bleak Icelandic landscapes and the soundtrack. I did head-canon a justification for the silly premise...

As long as I get to kill off the MC I'll be happy. I really dislike endings to a game series where the MC is still alive by the time the final credits roll because it just isn't firm closure, you still have to speculate what their ultimate fate was, for all we know after the screen went to black the MC could have walked out of the building and gotten run away by a car, but we'll never find out unless there's maybe an unintended sequel or spin off. Death is the greatest form of closure, and it is the option I will always choose to end my games with if given the chance.

You could always get a slideshow with your MC being a grey old person playing with it's grandchildren, running around plants with an orange in it's mouth and acting like a reaper..then you get a heart attack. I've seen it before! it works!

LOL! I'd be too busy laughing to take this sort of ending seriously, it would be closure though at least. I'd actually like Bioware to try this, I wouldn't mind it, but the rage from some people though haha

Hey, if you don't want to exterminate the geth with Destroy, don't pick Destroy.

What makes you think i would change my ultimate choice because of the geth? o_O try to read my post again, i'm not against picking an option, i'm against the option itself.

All the choices stomped all over what I previously did, though.

I'm not against a final choice, but I agree that it must be somehow related to what happened before. Similar to how certain things need to be met for you to achieve Geth/Quarian peace, including things from ME2.

ME3 tried to do that by tying the available options to EMS, but EMS was just a score and was disconnected from the game events because the numbers were arbitrary and it didn't matter from what source you derived the points as long as the total was high enough.

Nice catch, but that wasn't the ending. I suppose it could have worked though. It's sad for the family, but Vito went out playing with his progeny.

even if it was made with a humorous intent, it's a good option for finishing something. You get to see everything to the very end. I know i would have felt more satisfied with this than with an almost dead body under the rubble. Sometimes, keeping it simple is the way to go

Well that's simply because we understand this scene and exactly what happens. The body under the rubble makes no sense and was clearly a lazy attempt to say "look, Shepard lives!" because you got the high score.

It's a shame that we can't just forget all those things but i have high hopes for the future of mass effect. I believe that it can only grow from here. It survived one of the biggest mistakes. Looking forward to what they'll learn from this and the Citadel DLC
