What are the odds that Hawke could escape the Fade?

Even the Evanuris haven't succeeded in finding a way out and it's been hundreds of years since then.

Depends on how much the Devs ever feel like using Hawke again.

Nice! My Hawke sure likes being alive and not left in the fade.

The plot armor is strong in that one.
And I sorta left the Warden behind. I had no regrets whatsoever until the cinematic at the end of my fight with Cory. 'You want Fade, here you go!'
Those BW people are eeeeeevil, I tell you.

100% since I don't leave Hawke in the fade either.
But I suspect that a mage Hawke might stand a chance. Defiant to the end. No Hawke goes out with a whimper. I'm sure the odds are better for survival if the one left behind is a mage.
Personally I like leaving Loghain behind. Not because of some hatred for him in DAO. But because he is hearing the real calling and knows his time is about to come. Why not go out in glory.

I never let Loghain live past Origins, but... They included his mabari!
Awwwww

I'm still half expecting that to come back and bite us. Come DA4 when the veil gets disrupted, we are in teh Fade and round a corner walks Cory. "Tada! He was alive and kicking in the Fade this whole time!"

If Solas effectively succeeds in lifting the Veil, which could be the starting point of the next DA game, then the Warden/Hawke could return any time, if they survived.
In which mental and emotional state they come back though, that would be a whole other story...
I think their survival is quite likely. Why would Fear (or its remains, or its servants, or whatever) want to kill the Warden/Hawke? It exists to induce fear, not to kill. That's its entire purpose.
Other beings in the Fade though, those could become actual challenges, but not actual deaths. I guess we'll eventually find out either way...

Patrick Weekes confirmed that if you left Hawke in the Fade - they are dead.

Not that I'm at all advocating that whoever is left in the Fade come back, but what would you expect him to say if they weren't dead?

Basically. So it's 50/50.

He's using shorthand, because he also said this to me:

Weekes is basically saying "the never found the body", so anything is possible.

I expect the devs will never address it. They sent Hawke back to Kirkwall if they didn't die in Trespasser, which to me says they want them out of the picture. I don't think they plan on using Hawke again.

Pretty sure they just said that whoever is left in the fade will "likely" die so their bases are covered and nobody complains if they decide to resurrect the character like with Leliana, Oghren, or Anders.

He also said this:
Yes, that's exactly the same as what he said to me. Which means the below, and also that they can leave fans with the hope that they live to make them feel better. Which is working
I don't like it, but I expect it never to be brought up again.

I don't exactly consider them alive, but I'm not going to trust that they're dead either.

I'd wager her/his odds are significantly higher if you encouraged Merrill to repair her Eluvian.

Shrödinger's Hawk(e)?
Perfect analogy.
And since we have this line of dialog between Cole and Sera in one of their banters: “Before the door is opened, they could let the cat out and it would always be alive”, guy trapped in Fade is alive confirmed. Sort of.

This.
I don't think we're going to see a lot of old faces in the new Dragon Age. Dorian is the most obvious carry over, not sure on any others.
