The ability charging bull isn't stamina/sec but stamina/distance. When playing Silent Sister if you have bloody bargain you will notice charging bull use stamina faster when stacking up speed..just wanted to tell everyone :P Idk about the Avvars charge though

I noticed that Shield Bash will always be better than Payback Strike

for like the sixth time.

It could also be that it is measured in seconds, but that time moves faster for you, consistent with Einstein's theory of general relativity.

This would also signify a large decrease in mass, so the girls should be ecstatic.

Not to derail the thread, but since Yallegro brought it up, why is Payback Strike so seemingly crappy?  The numbers make it look like it should be good (when you've recently taken damage).

1: Much better hitbox

2: You don't have to be hit for it to do dmg/knockdown

Since when are girls ecstatic about a decrease in mass?

Could be coincidence, but I noticed moon mines occurring in conjunction with teammates powers/weapon abilities that have a pull or pushing effect. Kingfisher staff setting off PoTA or the short blizzard the sarrebas can produce kept sending my alchemist's mines skyward.

When it is their own.

I don't know. Payback strike consistently hit more enemies than shield bash, causing massive group knockdown, better chance to proc weapon abilities ( frequent walking fortress proc on hakkon sword with one payback strike when you are surrounded), more cooldown reduction with flow of battle. I really like it on my lego.

You will learn to get rid of it. Shield Bash is much better, it can knockdown multiple targets, behind and infron if surrounded. It does massive damage to guard as well which is a huge perk. I don't need a CC Breaker because I can't get knockdown so it is much better for me I know that
Edit: I once got 100K Shield Bash against the vent commander in HB..she had TTD on her for around a minute....that wiped her barrier out fast ;)

payback picks you up from knock down and stops paralyzed conditions

payback is a larger aoe as well

shield bash hits harder but way smaller aoe

for perilous I use both

for nm I only have room for 1 so I keep payback for above reasons

I use both, but Shield bash is way more cool.Too bad it isn't starting skill instead of PBS.

Shield Bash doesn't have that small of an aoe..it is actually really well sized, you can knock down enemies in front, behind and to one side of you. Granted it doesn't pick you up from status effect but that is situational, I don't need that so I don't keep it most of the time.

As Thatbruh has stated, the AoE is not small at all. In fact I find that it is bigger and better suited for enemies behind the legionnaire as well.

The average dmg coupled with better accuracy is also much better.

Once you have enough crit chance for Flow of Battle you really should drop Payback Strike and run only on Shield Bash.

Extra: When interrupted, Payback Strike can't be used until you get back up again. This means it is much less efficient at recovering from knockdown than Walking Fortress, the old Unbowed or Dive Roll

Yeah but if you have war cry PS is better cause you can stun. With high crit chance and phisical immunity amulet it's probabily better SB, but the stun on NM is just too good to let go, especially against mobs, but then again... it's probably promotion level related..

and with PS you have to spend 1 ability point less as compared to SB, which is pretty important with the lego....

Then again, I wouldn't be so sure in saying which is better... it depends on many factors...

I'm on 40-45-40 stats and find PS better, especially if I want to get Counterstrike, that way I get 1 more passive and if you have to go all the way to get Counterstrike you need the passives (unless you have 200 constitution, in that case I guess everything goes....)

As I said, it is situational. I am just under 200 on all 3 stats and can't get knocked down so I find Shield Bash to be right up my alley, works best for me

Why not both?  On nightmare, I use Shield Bash, Payback Strike, Shield Wall, and Walking Fortress, and it works great.  I guess people want a taunt, which I can understand.  But the Lego's damage output is such crap that I prefer having 2 offensive abilities.

I use similar build, but instead of SW use Livid and fare pretty decent on Nightmare. And I don't have promotion lords like stats.

I usually use Shield Bash, Counterstrike, Shield Wall. The 4th depends on what I feel like

hmmmm  I thought tank meant you tank for the team

killing isnt really why I bring the lego

hence I run 2 taunts  war cry and counterstrike

and walking fortress with payback strike

I hit bulwark and untouchable defense

I wear the amulet of aggression and keep taunting

its funny when I run and the room is full they follow me

I guess thats why I need the payback strike
