Perilous Nightmares (October 16 – 19)

 

My fellow Agents,

 

All signs indicate that we are nearing the time when one of the great Snake-Kings, as detailed in my last letter, will Sweep Across the Land. The Nightingale agrees we must risk ourselves in Perilous Danger to prevent their coming! She says we must eliminate the most powerful Enemies of the Inquisition lest they distract us from pursuing our quest for the true Menace in Thedas.

That is not precisely what I said, but currently our theater of operation is volatile. Someone or something has driven Corypheus's most dangerous allies to attack settlements more openly, raiding for supplies. By taking out the most dangerous groups, we can uncover the source of this disruption.

Agent Goal: Complete 10 matches on Perilous or Nightmare difficulty

 

Inquisition Goal:

PC/PS4/Xbox One: Complete 500 matches on Perilous or Nightmare difficulty

PS3/X360: Complete 250 matches on Perilous or Nightmare difficulty

 

Agent Completion: Agent awarded a Commendation Chest.

Inquisition Completion: All agents awarded a Victory Chest.

 

This weekend’s event begins at 10 am PDT Friday, October 16, and ends at 5 am PDT Monday, October 19.

Bioware hasn't fixed the damage caused by their previous attempt of giving the community double XP. They should look at that firstly.

I am all in favor of lots of Prestige points being awarded to us. The Leaderboards constantly needs a 'refresh'; today more than ever. I just think that cheap promotions aren't the way though.

Everyone will be getting the double exp. So it will be fair game for everyone, assuming they actually do it

And before you say people will be promoting too fast: everyone, including you, will be able to promote at an increased rate. How fast will depend on if you spawn camp, spawn milk or any combination in between. This is a good thing for this, it'll keep people around a little bit

When did BW first make that attempt?  I know about the exploit but that was hardly BW giving the community double XP.  That was BW not knowing how to fix a glitch fast enough or possibly not having it a high priority until it was very widespread.

I would feel better that I earned the cheap promotes myself than be carried all the way up the leaderboard.

You might be right. I just hope things do not get out of control, as it happened in the past. Bioware wasn't able to handle abuses and misuses before, I find it less likely they would be able now.
Also, from my perspective, the community were divided and some people left the game due to the Exp glitch. Perhaps depending on which circles you were, you saw it differently.

Things may work if they are done properly. But since Bioware hasn't even fixed the scars left on the community from that time, I am skeptical they would care much nowadays.

They patched the x2 exp bug but put a cap on because of old gen. If they do this they have to remove the exp cap otherwise it is pointless. We won't be able to do the x2 exp bug along with it..unless they completely **** it up some how (not that I would complain tbh

Yes, it's been fixed in patch 1.10. They just "forgot" to remove the "don't worry it's just temporary" XP cap...

Oh come on, the reason they put her at the end on the right is because that is the last place you eye is drawn.  She cant dance and has no curves.  More like 3, Tie for 1, 1, tie for 5, 5

I think you're mistaken. The cap was introduced AFTER they dropped support for old gen so they don't have it...
