Double xp weekend! Wohooo!

Played ME3MP some days ago.Host was from USA.I had teenie weenie bit of lag,but nothing major.Didn't shoot blanks,Warp went where intended to go and such.

If only DAMP would work in similar fashion.

 

10 years ago.... TEN....  I was playing Final Fantasy XI on the PC with people from JAPAN and AMERICA.  I am in the UK.

 

Technology has moved on quite a bit from back then.

 

There is absolutely no excuse for the issues many games have, not just DAMP.

 

Software Houses/Publishers are guilty of poor coding,  poor planning or underinvestment.

 

Sadly DAMP has all 3....

I had at least 1 set of plans this weekend..that has now changed with the upcoming Double XP weekend to which I'll be playing non-stop...after going to the gym & then half ruining that by going to the store to buy beer, energy drinks, Depends undergarments, & some quick to make yet healthy food! (gotta be somewhat responsible)

They should have taken a page from World of Tanks.  In that on-line game you get double exp for your 1st match of the day for each of your tanks  (equivalent to each of our classes).  It then goes back to normal exp.  On weekend or holidays they give you 3 times the exp for your 1st match with each tank.  A real incentive to play a bit each day or play on the weekends.

 Focusing only on the here and now. . . I welcome more XP generation. More gold can't hurt. I almost did not not make the migration from the PS3 to 4. Why might you ask? Cause it cost money to do so. So to focus on the here and now I say more XP for everyone.

 

Now for a little history.

 

 It was awlful to see the 3 platform ( Xbox also ) shot down the way it was. I guess the TOS covered EA's backside on that one. Paraphrasing just about all of it, basically they reserve the right to do anything they want with the games they field.

 

 I really enjoy the MP component. The friends I've made and the hilarious runs that make me forget its a grinder. All the really nasty XP killing bugs. The disconnects and forced host migrations. Newer characters that couldn't be played seperately or together depending on the map used.

 

 So yes I say away with the cap. More XP & gold for everyone. Com'on Amulet of Physical Arse Kickingness.

What is the xp cap?  I only play in Threatening and I know that a match there will bring a level 1 to 8 or 9.   What about Perilous?   NM?   I think it takes just under 200K xp to level 20 right?

I only know for NM and HB:
NM is 100K cap
HB: I am 95% positive it is around 200K (good luck getting that in a time efficient manner)
To get from lvl 1-20 you need 180K exp, so if you can get 200K in one match (use to be able too, have done it before) you will promote once every game

Only when I am dragging the scrub twins Proto and Snakebite around.  After having to pull them through games it is like playing in a field of fresh carnations and lavender when playing regular pug games.

Or even do the wow rested exp.

 

If you don't play for a couple days, you build up bonus exp.

 

Or do the Destiny (and many, many other games) daily quests.  Every day you get a very short, manageable goal that you can do for some bonus.

 

There are lots of options out there.  Probably none will be implemented since THE END has already occurred.

Some of the most fun I had was in random JP exp parties.  

 

Using the auto-translate in your macros was always a nice touch.
