SP only, unless some sort of gigantic surprise bomb gets dropped. But I imagine that would've come out by now.

The only MP Bethesda has done was letting ZeniMax make The Elder Scrolls Online. But otherwise, all Bethesda's Elder Scrolls and Fallouts have been SP only.

That's pretty much what I figured. Don't know why I haven't played any of the FO series, except I've never really had a liking for the apocalyptic dystopia thing. But some folks got it right (i.e. Borderlands.) Elder Scrolls, on the other hand, I've played considerably over the years starting way back with Morrowind on the original XBox. I beta'd ESO and while it wasn't horrible, it wasn't worth a sub back when I tested it. Now that it's FTP, I just haven't quite bothered with it yet (plus plopping $60 on the game client that will thereafter pester you for microtransactions doesn't appeal to me either.) If they ever release the client for free, I may give it another try.

And FWIW...Khajiit thieves rule!

ESO really didn't do it for me as an MMO.

Final Fantasy XIV is much better and I'm not even a fan of the lore.... The battle mechanics and boss fights are amazing and no in game voice chat is the best decission ever.

You run around ESO and people are playing horrible music, beating their wives or have babies crying in the background and is a sure way to ruin any gameplay immersion for me....

Say anything you want about ESO, but at least it has a workable functioning multiplayer.

So do many other better MMORPG.

You'd also hope so because they launched as a paid subscription service, worked out they failed at MMORPG and then had to go to F2P and P2W model because that's how bad their launch was.

So your saying because damp was always f2p, that it deserves leniency for STILL not addressing Narnia, random crashes, failed host migrations, rubber banding, and a questionable rng system? Need I remind you what happened to the player base after the key glitch wasn't fixed for months....

DAMP isn't an MMORPG.

DAMP = Dragon Age Inquisition with tacked on Multiplayer.

You can't really compare the two seeing one was more SP campaign focused and the other tried to take a single player focused game and build it as MMORPG environment.

I never was comparing ESO to a tacked on MP 4 map experience... I was comparing with other MMORPG games that do a much better job.

But I'll make a comparison now.... ESO is the DAMP of the MMORPG genre... But I suppose you guys wont believe that till they shut off the servers.

And that would be why I muted the voice chat on ESO and never had to worry about that nonsense ever again. Took a few clicks in the social menu.

Immersion restored. :)

That's precisely what I do as well. Aside from the fact that most games' built-in VOIP sucks, I really don't need that particular "window on the world" opened. In fact, close the window, brick it over, and hang a painting on it, that's my motto!  B)

The major problem is there is no text chat so if you mute these things there is no way of knowing what is going on around you.

The OP is a little outdated with names but the main point of it still stands. If you are capable of it then come on in :)
