Try Warframe.
Most likely such an option will ultimately exist, as it did for DA:I. At least, if a similar microtransaction model is part of it.
You mean selling the MP component as a seperate standalone?
Not that I would personally mind, but is there a reason to do this? I mean, the SP component gets developed anyway and is the primary selling point of the game, so it's hard to nail the value of the MP component alone as both SP and MP share developement work (graphic design, animations, content (equipment, etc.) and gameplay design), which is obviously something that need be done if you'd sell the latter as standalone. Likewise, with the inevitable microtransactions coming to the MP (you know it's going to happen!), how will the earnings from that be handled if there's presumably the complete game version, the SP-only-version and the MP-only-version?

Is there a DAI MP-only release of the game that I don't know about or do you mean something else?
Why would EA/BioWare go through the trouble of packaging and distributing the secondary component of the game?
Only if it is F2P.
Well the OP has clearly snapped from a lack of new info. People just start throwing out madcap requests like this to try and stave off the madness.

They don't see it as a secondary component of the game, and neither do a lot of the people expected to buy it. As for why they would do it, I would imagine they would do it for the same reason they did it with DA:I - because it was in their financial interests to do so.

^This.
Because thank you very much I'm in no mood and have zero wish to pay double for thing that was extension in ME3.

Eh, that would be of no concern, considering it's the MP cpmponent, they could distribute it exclusively online for no additional packaging and delivery costs, wouldn't even need surplus server structure as the data would already exist within the online storage for the digital release of the entire game.
Make it a FPS then deal. I have no interest in the story for mass effect anyway.
If you were to sell a MP only version for say $20, I foresee people would start demanding a SP only version for $40 and crying that "MP took a third of the resources away from SP!".
That's not at all how it works of course, but that's never stopped the internet.

Aye.
What they might do is something similar to what the DAI demo is apparently doing. Give them unlimited access to the base MP component together with the SP demo, but distribute the MP DLCs only to those who own the full game and make those DLCs incentive enough to draw the attention and ultimately wallet of those who'd only want to play the MP, even if it meant buying the whole game to get the (hopefully continously) free MP DLCs (demo MP accounts should obviously be transferable to incentivize a switch).
But such a thing wouldn't come until well after the initial release.
Probably too much work in splitting the two.
That and it seems there's going to be some integration of the SP mode and the MP mode with those base defense things.
A multi-player only game huh...
Sure. It's a different game from Andromeda, and just using the Mass Effect brand. Like how MarioKart is separate from Super Mario World, or Hyrule Warriors is different from The Legend of Zelda.
What I have played multiplayer in Bioware's games I'd say that it's extra content. I don't think it has content enough to be sold seperately at least in boxes. Maybe it could be sold seperately digitally though.
Little off,but whatever.
I would like to know,if ME:A will have the same matchmaking system as DAMP?

I wouldn't have nothing against standalone mp only Mass effect game.
I bought DAI for the MP. I ended up getting quite some entertainment from SP.
I bought ME3 for the SP. I ended up getting insane amounts of entertainment from MP.
Some say I was really lucky. I say: I made bad calls and didn't get what I wanted. ![]()
Can we have a multiplayer only version of the game?
Yep. Multiplayer developed primarily by the Montreal Studio and packaged in a box titled 'Mass Effect Andromeda'. Has an optional Single Player experience, or as some may come to call it: A playable codex for information and lore purposes.
Top kek.
