Bioware should add a FPS option to ME:A.

Nothing wrong with options and i see no reason why they cant add a fps option to ME:A. Lbh Bioware(or should i say EA) has clearly been dumbing down its combat to attract the casual COD/GOW crowd. Why not go all out an add a fps feature to it, GTA did it(and it was a success) and the new Fallout has the option for it.

In all honestly adding a fps option to ME:A will make the game alot more enjoyable and fun to play with tons of replay value. In fact i think they should ditch the 3rd person camera all together. COD in space will sell very well, do it.

I think I should be offended by the fact that you just called FPS dumbed down.

So….are you saying that FPS is like, the final stage of "dumbing down"? Well, that's grand, that is.

I do not mind FPS, but I like TPS slightly more. They could make both views optional like Star Wars: Battlefront.

No. No they shouldn't. I mean, if they wanna give us a button/toggle that gives us a first person perspective to look around while we're not moving, I like that. But I don't want any sort of first person shooter gameplay taking away time and resources from making ME:A the most refined and polished third person experience possible.

They should make romance scenes first person, so I can bang Tali in first person with Occulus Rift.

I mean, it's the natural conclusion of where this forum is going to go with romances in BioWare games.

A fifth person shooter sounds like a fantastic idea.

Make it so,

No thanks, I'd much rather play shooter with 3rd person camera than FPS.

OP, you better run before BSN will eat you alive.

But on the topic: No. no, NO. ME doesn't need to have FPS option. The next thing we'll know we're gonna have another BF/CoD, but in ME universum, just to squeeze some money out of people.

Only if the game comes with an Ann Summers gift voucher ...

Its not that easy, the game was built to take advantage of a cover and squad command system and commanding the movement of your team and use of powers would be very difficult in FPS.

People keep saying things add replay value. Does this not mean what I think what I think means anymore?

How does making Mass Effect first person add replay value? Especially if you want to take out 3rd person too.

Personally I don't care if they add a first person mode, but I won't personally use it. ME's mechanics are suited to 3rd person far better.

Indeed I like to be able to see the character I've created if they ditched 3rd preson they may as well ditch the CC and that would be bad.

I have been wondering same, at least camera change is not what I consider replay-value.
