I see nothing wrong with the standard to 66666 glitch called 66644 as a safe enough alternative.
AR has no place in a BF3 build. It stops you using Carnage, which should be spammed, either for Armour Damage or to detonate ammo. For the BF3 (which I have admittedly only played in Silver), I do 46646.
My rationale: he's an ersatz human QME, priming explosions with Carnage and detonating with grenades. Passives don't power up explosions, so no need to max them (my QME is also 46646). For big armoured targets, I could indeed spam Carnage, or I could take an anti-armour weapon and use Adrenaline Rush. I like having the option of doing either.

You can ignore the melee side of that build if your reckless side isn't as over-developed as mine, but as melee builds go, it's pretty effective. All the more with a Shotgun if you prefer.
I gave my Claymoar FQE a go again for another public solo... how did I ever play her with a Locust?! CLAYMOAR!

The Locust-FQE was my jam for the first 2 months I played this game. Enjoy your ClayBore, but there's no need to disrespect a classic...

As others have already said, you can take bonus power on AR. The tradeoff is that you'll go down when an enemy sneezes, but oh, the carnageeeeeeeeeeeeee (pun intended). Obviously best done with the High Lord.

Oh, I saw the Claymore QFE light a long time ago, I even tried the wraith on her, but it wasn't the same. Just pointing out that the game once again reinforced how "right" that combination is.

It works. But I still like the Claymore on accuracy boosting classes like Destroyer and Geth more. For the FQE, I enjoy Widow, Black Widow, Javelin and Kishock more.

That's because, speaking from experience, soloing platinum with the claymore is a good way of curing an addiction to it and developing a sudden new appreciation for the absolute superiority of the Wraith.
And Venom.
And Raider.
All three of which are weapons I don't even like that much. But they're all better than Claymore in a plat solo.

Lol I know, but couldn't resist to make that mean remark. There are several better choices than a Claymore for a plat solo with the QFE, but it's possible of course. It would be a huge pita VS Cerberus but it sounds better VS Collectors. I hate this faction though so I will let it to an other brave soul.
