We are geth
We are a shattered mind
We build our own future
All memories will be shared
All perspectives will be unified
No geth will be alone when it is done

sexy gethy time
Or maybe it is Eirin-sama concealing the star with her magic.
As such, I will accept cute magical bunny-girl aliens as a substitute for the geth.
I don't want the humanized geth. If they're back make them the way they were before.
If the Geth return, then have them alongside the Quarians as allies. In this weird-post "we're not answering anything" galaxy set a long time after 3, then I don't see why it'd be a problem.
Unless they were wiped out in destroy ending. There would still be new synthetic AI's being made as organics become more advanced.
One of the common fan assumptions about Andromeda is that it will avoid dealing with the consequences of ME3's endings by having the colonists leave at some point either during or before the Reaper War.
If that pans out, the Geth could return in that any aboard the ship headed to Andromeda would be unaffected by the Crucible. Of course in order for the Geth to be included the ship would have to leave during the Reaper War and at some point after the Rannoch arc. On the other hand it would mean either canonizing the truce outcome or siding with the Geth, which could be controversial.
On that note I have a feeling the Geth won't be returning.

That's what I'm expecting. Perhaps at the opening, or just before the Reaper war, a secret mission was undertaken to take groups of all races, out of the galaxy in fear that the war may not be won. It's easier to do than making one of the endings canon.

Yes I can understand avoiding the endings altogether. Regardless of what route they go though, I grew to really like the geth in ME2. The whole Rannoch arch, while I enjoyed playing through it a lot, was admittedly pretty badly handled and written. And the 'humanizing' of other species, especially the way it was done with the geth, has always bothered me. I find it more interesting when they have understandable, yet different goals/reasoning than ours. I hope we won't lose them altogether, I think there's potential there.
Besides all the story stuff, actually playing a geth in ME3 MP was fantastic, I loved both the infiltrator and the engineer, and whenever I fire up the game again for a couple of rounds, can't resist GI Claymore. I liked them as enemy faction in SP throughout the games, less in MP because of obvious reasons (like really, the stunlock was already bad, then they got a new bomber unit which supplied even more stunlock
)
If someone's interested in astronomy, Phil's blog is a nice read, give it a try. He's also part of a youtube series (crash course astronomy), which I can recommend as well.
Hope the game includes quarians and that the Andromeda Galaxy has already had its 'singularity event'. So all the enemies are robotic(cyborg/synthetic) in nature.
Well, looks like NASA needs some funding for interstellar ballistic missiles with a range of 1,500 light years. Call up the Russians and have them restart work on Tsar Bomba, too. This needs to be an international effort.
I loved the Geth! ![]()

No sentient machines in ME:A. AI units is OK.
Let's stick to the new story and forget about the trilogy or its characters.

I killed them without hestitation for 3 straight games...may they rust in the ditch I left them in forgotten ![]()

I was really looking forward to seeing the megastructure they were building in ME2
Legion compared it to a dyson sphere. Imagine seeing that ominous plant sized thing with the intelligence of all the geth combined!

Well, we got to see some debris of it, if I'm not mistaken. Would've loved to see the actual structure as it was planned. But yes I really love it when the games take us to more unique places that are impressive for their own reasons. For example the dormant reaper inside the gas giant, or the collector base at the galactic center, walking in the geth dreadnought's cannon, or even Haestrom with its messed up star. Would've loved to have seen the chasm on Klendagon as well. To me those places are awe inspiring, they're different from 'regular' planets or locations.
No.
Geth is Paul.
You idiots.
