Because Anora would only be present in some of the imports.  Either married to Alistair or Cousland or solo queen. Whereas Teagan was an NPC who would be present and alive in all world states since plot armor keeps him alive throughout all three games.

As to why Anora had a different hairdo. She's queen.  She isn't limited to one style all her life and has the resources to get something new whenever she has the hair to do so.  In all my years on this planet I haven't stuck with one hairdo.  It's been over a decade since the events of Origins.

Bioware didn't mess up, there are logical reasons she wouldn't look the same as she did in Origins.  Maybe some styles were hard to generate in Frostbite, and since Calpurnia, Bull, Dorian, Cole, Blackwall, Cassandra, Josephine etc all had 'set facial parameters' and not something mutable by player agency, they were able to control how it fit and looked on them.

But you're missing the point. If it made sense for her to go to Redcliffe, which was a dangerous and hostile situation, then why not the Exalted Council, which was supposed to be more about diplomacy and negotiation? Your real world explanation doesn't work, because if it were a matter of needing to account for different world states, then why did Anora show up in the game at all? Why didn't Teagan show up in Redcliffe? I mean, it was his castle.

So what if she wants a new hairdo? The point is that she should return as we remember her for nostalgia purposes. And let's be perfectly honest, her "new" hairdo isn't that different from her old one. And if she's worried about appearances, why is she wearing the bland commoner dress? It isn't even the upgraded version. The commoners in Redcliffe were dressed better than their queen. How?

They were able to make Anora's hairstyle for Calpernia because Calpernia was modeled by BioWare, but they couldn't put the same hairstyle on Anora even though she was also modeled by BioWare?

I'm quoting you only to say that I have added you to my ignore list.  Please do not address me, and I would prefer you do not quote me as I don't want to be drawn into any debates with you.  I'd sooner dive into a pool filled with broken shards of glass than discuss anything related to Dragon Age with you.

Sending Teagan avoids that head ache, along with saving them costs.

I don't understand,Anora is one of the few mandatory character she can't die in DAO,just like Tegan, also if she is not the Queen she  is still a noble.

- especially if you buy the theory that he's Connor's biological father -

   Tegan?

That goes back to the point about her not being particularly well liked by a good portion of the fandom, where as Teagan was almost universally liked.

I explained that a page ago.

Didn't say I believed the theory, but it's out there.

Is it so weird that after 10 years she decides to change her hair a little?

It is when it looked so much better before T_T

I was so disappointed with the hair in general in DA:I, but I thought it was especially ridiculous that all the queens and nobles had the hair of raggedy and simple peasants. You'd expect the empress of Orlais to have some magnificent hairstyle and dress, but nope. Simple, frumpy hair and a prom dress with a metal do-dad stuck on the back. If anyone should have gotten custom hair it was Celine and Florianne.

Same reason why qunari inquisitors can't have horns like Bull's. They want certain important NPC's to have unique and distinctive appearances.

I call BS on that (in general), since there are plenty of cases where that doesn't apply. It can't apply to some NPCs and outfits and not others, that's just dumb.

Didn't say it was a good reason, but it's the reason.

The wiki lists Anora's last name as Therin with Mac Tir as a maiden name. I don't know if that's legitimate or just the assumption of whoever wrote the article, though.

If she isnot married to Alistair, she is the one who sends you some letter in the war table. She sign them as Anora Therin (even if she is married to a Cousland).

Yeah, it's totally inconsistent. Hopefully they don't do that in the next game, for once.

Is that a promise? I seem to remember you writing that you would ignore me from now on in a different thread.

Yeah, the plan didn't work, and if anything, backfired. Bioware forgot that the reason people liked Teagan in the first place was that he was a nice guy who supported us and our actions.

The heads of state/government meeting only really became common when air travel made it easy, as I understand it. Before that you were much more likely to send representatives.

Plus sending representatives to a discussion that's likely to be awkward makes sense. Means you can blame the underlings if something goes wrong.

That's not weird at all.  I go to the salon every two months and change stuff up with my hair all the time.   What is weird is that Morrigan has not.  And still has the same raggedy bikini top from 10 years ago.

Morrigan's bikini top is new. She clearly was not wearing a bra under her top in Origins.

Morrigan isn't fashion-obsessed, though. She likes what she likes.
