They could have just added the option of buying the random loot/schematics at a higher price so players have the option of grinding/relying on drops (because some players enjoy it) or just buy them so they can just enjoy the story.

No, there pretty much won't. It's come down from on high: Frostbite Engine is the goto for all EA games now, which is why MEA is being developed on FB rather than just upgrading Unreal. I doubt Artstyle will change much either, a lot of the look of the game was adapted from DA2.

I know. While I don't actually like massive armour, I'd at least like some armour with, know you... metal on it! Ugh. What happened to Bioware's visuals department?

Even the heaviest Descent armour has a lot of cloth. And it's ugly. Griffon Plate is... okay. Also, I'm sick of what few metal armours we have making it look like Krem isn't the only one binding his breasts in the Inquisition. Like, ouch.
