Simply means more side quest=more content. Look at all th side quest avaible in DAI and it was possible but complety removing cinematic convos. I think the trade off is worth it, why waste resource on content youre likely to forgot about in an hour anyway. No one plays games for side quests.

What do you think guys? Imo bioware should opt for less cinematic convos in ME:A, helps with immersion.

I really didnt enjoy DA:I because of that, only did all those side quests due to my completionist side and they felt more like chores tbh i just had to finish before going to the actual story, i much prefered the previous ones with cutscenes personally.

Even DA2 made me feel side quests were more important than just the mmorpg type of quests were i dont know what i am doing, i am just doing it to get to the final level

I'm...uncertain about this thread, but I'll bite. It depends on the side quest. Take Feros and those little missions you do for the colonists. That back and forth in "cinema" view is fairly meaningless. They don't really do or say anything that the up-close view really enhances. Speaking of which, I wonder how many folks complained about finding varren meat.

I'll maintain however that the animation can make all the difference. If characters move around and gesture, a dialogue sequence can be greatly improved regardless of whether or not it uses the back and forth shot.

Sure, we had shitload of quests in Inquisition, but 99% of them were taken from some crappy mmo. If lack of cutscenes in ME:A will result in having more fetch quests in game, then I'll pass. I prefer to have less side quests, but with some story line, not fetching some crap to a random person.

It just feels less personal.  You can see the person, but not up close.  Which, to me, is important for having any real connection with them.   It's like a honey-do list, instead of something you actually wanna do.

My $.02.

Or you can't really get a glimpse into the madness. Take Tarohne in DA2. Enemies Among Us wouldn't be the same if we couldn't stare into her madcap makeup and crazy eyes.

I'll bite, I don't think side Quests need to have cutscenes or be cinematic. Bio can do without it

Kind'a saying the same thing.   But yah.  You can't look into his/her eyes and see if he/she's telling the truth.

Is this for real?

You know, I wouldn't mind just so long as the combat is good and I get to see body parts flying about and some blood splatters.

I would drop 80% or more of the SP side quests assuming they are along of the lines of the DAI or ME3 quality. I simply don't see the point in low quality padding. I don't think adding lots of cutscenes for pointless things well really help, you have to be careful of not ruining the pacing of the main storyline.

They should focus more on how ME2 did things. There were a few fetchquests but most of the sidequests (companion recruitment/loyalty missions) were so well done they were of quality equivalent to the main story. And most of the N7 missions had quirky combat situations that felt quite well designed or challenging but also completely optional.

The DAI side quests were really low quality and had no cinematics.

The Witcher 3 side quests were mostly excellent with a story behind them and quite often a cool twist ending, all had cinematics. OP might want to think on that...

I think that note that ME:A should take regarding DA:I's side quest is: How not do do sidequests ever again because this is not generic MMO!

So I seriously have no clue what "more content" are you talking about in here? All I remember was generic quests like in generic MMOs, that were zero intereting and zero important, I don't recall how they made any "content" in here at all.
