Well, Varric has his older brother to give him headaches, but of course, he has no conflicts with Hawke - or any other from the group. That can be nice too, sometimes. And I don't think, that Varric would have done, what Isabella did.

But I don't have a real problem with Isabella as a character (she isn't my favorite, but she is not annoying or something, like for example Aerie or Anomen in Baldurs Gate 2 or Oghren in DAO), it was about the forced decisions that seems to be out of character for your Hawke - and how I don't find Tallis so bad after what Isabella did.

And I seldom give Isabella to the Arishok anymore, because, now, that I know, what will happen after they left, it seems wrong. Better he dies in a worthy fight, than being shunned by his own people. And besides, I don't find that believable, that Isabella would be able to run away with the tome from a horde of well trained Qunari warriors three times - thats just dumb.

I don't find Tallis bad either. I think I can like her and Isabela at the same time. And I like Felicia Day in general. It isn't her deception that annoys me. I just don't like the Qun.

In fact, I would have preferred her as the Qun member of the Inquisition over Bull. I have more empathy for her struggles with her beliefs, and her personality in general. Her struggle.. seems from the heart, I guess. I don't know how to take Bull seriously.

I kind of wonder if she'll ever show up in the series again.

I didn't like playing it as a mage Hawk.

She wouldn't go on a killing spree to get it either. My character's morals have always been gray, but to me that's going too far into murder territory.

Well, you don't have to kill anyone until the jailbreak, it even introduces a unique mechanic (which I, personally, would very much like to have been able to use elsewhere in the game on some Hawkes) to avoid killing the guards...

It's not my favourite part of the game, but my biggest gripe with the DLC is the fact that Tallis being an assassin is meant to be some big twist... Dudes, you remember what you called the DLC, yeah?

I did it for completionism of Hawke's and Dragon Age's story.

But I can certainly see a less silly Hawke not even being part of this DLC AT ALL.

Its a much weaker in that regard, but nonetheless version of Citadel DLC. Serious PCs need not apply.

It depends. A lot of people didn't like her.

I just enjoy playing the DLC because I think it's nicely designed and fun to play. The story really falls apart if you're anti-Qun.

Felicia Day writes generic, kitschy stories that amount to glorified fanfiction - which is essentially what her Dragon Age web series and MOTA are. Also: she doesn't possess more than a modicum of basic acting talent. Acting on any level is difficult, and she performs the basics well enough, but to see her write and star in a major piece of DLC for a triple-A title was bizarre.

Although her fans and hardcore BW fans seldom admit it, her lack of talent stands out compared to what we've come to expect from Bioware; DA2 is one of Bioware's weakest offerings, and still Day's inclusion breaks the immersion because of how amateurish it comes off.

Note: I thought The Guild was funny in places. And Day seems like a really nice person in interviews. It might seem harsh, I've just never found anything more than average talent in anything she's done.

True, the web series was cringe inducing and embarrassing. It was an example of "if you can't do it amazingly, don't do it at all." It came across as LARPing with a small budget and didn't add anything to the DA universe. I didn't care for Dawn of the Seeker, but at least there was a bigger budget involved and it didn't feel so amateurish.

I enjoyed MotA well enough, but in spite of Tallis. It was a fun excursion out of Kirkwall, provided a little insight into Orlesian culture and politics, and felt reasonable for Act 3 as Champion. It might have been better if we had the option to reject Tallis's offer to steal from the duke but we still attend as a guest, and then have the option of trying to work against her. It could still end with her escaping, but at least we wouldn't be rail roaded into helping the Qun if we didn't want to

Yeah, I'm aware of that. I just couldn't see my Hawke acting stealthy at all, but I couldn't see her doing that DLC period. At least they gave you the option of stealth (initially) for those pursuing a certain moral route.

I'm starting to wonder if I should play MotA in Act 2 instead.

I remember the writers said both DLCs ideally take place in Act 3, but MotA has potential for Act 2. Even as a mage. You're still a new noble so the party could sound neat..you still might have some of the Lowtown in you so a heist sounds fun as well. And you don't necessarily grasp how awful it is to work with a Qunari yet.

My character did it to rob an Orlesian noble and hang out with a spunky redhead. That's all Orlais is good for anyway. Sera knew it too.

Maybe that should be enough..

Also, I'm reminded the last time I played in Act 3 and my mage was annoyed that Varric said I was a thief. His reply was "What? You wanted me to tell everyone you were a mage?"

This kind of further pushes me to play in Act 2. Why would he say this in Act 3? By then, everyone knows you're a mage.
