Does the fact that your inquisitor is a mage make any difference during trespasser, and the way Solas views you? Does he deem you a tranquil anyhow? Or can i play a rogue and have the exact same story? Found nothing on google.

Solas's responses to quizzy are solely based on approve/disapprove, and friendship/romance. Nothing for classes.

Nope! If you ended DAI with high approval from Solas he will always see you as one of the people. If you have low approval he will blame himself for you being a non-person because of his mistakes.

He does say "you are people" but still people that he intends to exterminate because you are not one of "his people."
Also Solas' comment about walking in a world of tranquil is just an analogy. Not that he literally views everyone around him as having all the exact characteristics of a tranquil.

That's not based on you being a mage, though, which is what OP was asking. He'll say that to any character with high approval, regardless of your race or class.
