I'm curious about the recharge speed bonus. Is there a point with certain powers that having even 200% will not speed up their cool down in any noticable way?

I know certain classes like Adepts, Vangaurds and Sentinals are far more reliant on powers then weapons. Thus the quicker cool down is better. But is the lighter and some times much weaker SMG/pistols worth it for the high recharge rate. VS guns with a little bit more bite but slightly lower recharge rate.

There's no cap on the power recharge speed. I mean that if you're at 200% and equip a power efficiency module, you will still get a better recharge speed.

However, in most cases, it's better to be around 150% or even 100% and have a good weapon, than being at 200% with a crap gun.

Well just that I noticed with my human sentinel. I wanted to do combo warp/throw. The only difference is I didn't notice much of a difference between warp's cool down rate with my Lotus SMG that gave me 200% cool down. And my Mattock V with anti armor + damage boost mods which gave me only like 120% cool down.

Fury only requires 50+% recharge speed to still be played well. Also, it's a great way to stay in shape.

I keep trying to tell my friends this, and they keep forgetting.

i did a graph few years ago to convince myself not to stack power efficiency evos or gear or passive :

8mgBG8C.jpg

I havent plotted negative weapon encombrance, beware the dependance becomes linear (cause lol infinit CD else). on the horizontal axis you have what u can stack for power effciency (power evo like warp 6b, passive 4a and 6a, power efficency equipment)

I guess i plotted it to 200 % to read the graph both ways (weapon CD on X, and colors on power efficiency bonus)

I don't know why, but I think I remember once someone saying that there actually is a maximum of 250% cooldown bonus.  The weapon screen won't display anything over 200% though.

Nice chart. It's a good reminder for the diminishing returns of cooldown reduction. People who played the hero game tabletop RPG are very familiar with this math.
