This might seem silly, but is it better to save gold buying the 2k chests or spam the 1k chest? Basically, does the guaranteed rare in the 2k increase chances for a purple

Spent 100,000 on 2K chests, got a lot of purple cards, level 24/25 weapons.
Keeping that extra 200,000 for that DLC I'm still holding out hope for.
Too many weapons and not enough people to use them.
