I was wondering if anyone else has this problem....

I was leaving Redcliffe to go to another location.  But instead of going there, there's a dream cutscene of the Archdemon after which Alistair asks you if you had the same dream.  Then the camp is attacked by Shrieks.  Once that little battle is done, I'm stuck.  I go to the normal camp location (near dog) where you go to access the world map and be on your way.  This time, the map doesn't appear and I'm just stuck.  What to do?  I didn't have this problem on previous playthroughs.  The only thing different is I've installed the Karma's Companions mod. Anyone know what my problem is?

Check to see if you have an Shrieks somewhere in Camp that weren't killed.

Other than that, Karma's Companions changes Core resources and  you may have other mods that change Core resources.  I don't know if what you are experiencing is just a glitch with DAO or if it is a result of one of the mods

Check to see if Tamlen is present in the camp.  Karma's Companion adds him to the game and normally he's only encountered on a Dalish during that attack.  He might be there via the mod and it's preventing you from leaving until you trigger the conversation.

If it's not the Karma mod itself, it has to be one of the other mods you have to install to get Karma to work.  I do have Tamlen and after doing Ashes quest, we did the ceremony with Wynne to try to cure with the ashes.  Afterwards, he's better but not 100% and you talk to Adela who tells you that you need to see someone up north.  Well, in addition to not being able to leave camp after the Archdemon dream and shriek attack, you can take Adela and Tamlen to the Tevinter ruins up north, but no one is there and then there's no way to leave the ruins site.  Looks like the Tamlen quest will never be completed....

Oh well....so far, of the companions, I have Tamlen half-cured, Adela, Ser Gilmore, and Jowan.  After doing Broken Tower, I was unable to recruit Cullen, but didn't really want him anyhow.  Jowan may come in handy if I opt not to do the Dark Ritual before the final onslaught.  An interesting note, I took both Adela and Shale with me in Broken Circle.  Shale did not appear in the Fade but Adela did.  I wonder if Karma made a mistake since dwarves don't dream and thus, shouldn't be able to go in the fade or if Shale didn't appear simply because she's now a Golem rather than because of her dwarf origin.

Shale does have a Nightmare so I don't know why it didn't appear.  There is a bug with Shale's since there doesn't seem to be a path to get to Shale to complete her Nightmare, but that is a Bioware issue.  Oghren has a Nightmare so Adela should have a Fade Nightmare, that isn't a mistake.

For 'my' Dwarf Companions, I made each of them aware that they were in the Fade and that it isn't reality.  When the GW tells one of them to try to wake up because she (my GW) has killed some of the demons, Lady Danika (the Dwarf Companion) gloats that it would take more than one Demon to keep a Dwarf in the Fade.

Interesting, I always end up doing the Dark Roads last, so I never had the option to take Oghren to the Broken Tower.  It's a pity about Shale; I wonder if in her dream, she sees herself as a dwarf again?  Oh well....that's for Bioware to solve.

So, has anyone else had the problem of being stuck in camp after the shriek attack?  Or how about problems with the Tevinter ruins in the north?  I go there with Adela and Tamlen after having the conversation with Adela about how to cure Tamlen.  But then, we find no one is at the ruins and there's no place you can go to reach the world map to travel elsewhere.  (Patches to the mod I may have missed?)

My current work-around for the camp problem is to never travel from one spot on the map to another without first going back to camp.  If I go to camp, I can avoid the archdemon vision and shriek attack.

Just curious, how do you trigger Adela's personal quest?  I do talk to her at camp, but haven't found any new conversations since she mentioned going north to cure Tamlen.

Once again, very nice and complex mod!  I'm grateful to have Jowan in the group (since I plan on dissing Morrigan over the "Dark Ritual").  Adela's also pretty neat; I'm planning to do the Dark Roads next so it should be interesting to see how she reacts.

So do I but that's mostly due to the diffficulty of tha entier section that I tend to leave it as late as possible in the game although I did surprise myself last time through as I wenjt through with very few problems. Having said that though I did take more time over it and that probably helped a bit.

When I first played Origins, I found playing it on Normal more difficult than playing Inquisition on Nightmare -- and the Deep Roads was definitely more difficult than Redcliffe or the Dalish quest.  Probably a draw between the Deep Roads and Broken Circle.  Now all of a sudden, I'm curious to see what Oghren would see in the Fade -- probably Branka.  (If I keep getting preoccupied with all the options, I won't work my way back to Inquisition until some time in 2016!)
