It's so hard to give build suggestions to un-maxed manifest issues. One thing I learned while going from maxed to unmaxed manifest. As all of a sudden I started eyeing certain weapons more then others just because they were super light even at level one when I wanted a power focus kit due to powers & combos making up for weaker manifest. ie. the Eagle 1 works perfect on any power focus class. And actually what I used on my Shaman instead what I normally used.

it s very entertaining to mix everything, and pretty efficient.
If your R in a melee mood, u can easily get the 50 melee kills. if u want to take some rest, warp SW BE is amazing except against big shields.
Barrier is just double tapped to stagger 3 mooks (2 pahntom and one goon) before melee or wraith. But not on cause speed penalty.
typical attack pattern is warp on non OHK melee guy, closing down (wraith if u want), shockwave or melee first depending if your R close. then wraith or barrier double tap if dangerous unit close
i wld skip passive with this build, only usefull for 4b, and swith 6th evos to gain speed on BE
You've the Wraith, so you're good to go. At 10, this gun is a perfect match with the Shaman's cooldowns. Not at 1 I guess, but no big deal.
The best build depends on what you want to do. To practice first, I would suggest something like this :

Unless you want to use Barrier offensively, going beyond 3 ranks isn't really beneficial (Warp and Shockwave don't benefit much from the power damage boost). I put Warp rounds to get the damage bonus on primed targets, it's worth it on him. As for the cooldowns, the HVB doesn't add weight on the Wraith, so they're actually both below 3 seconds. For the armor bonus, you can use what you want, but I find shields power cells very effective on the Shaman, as he's tanky enough to not be one-shot killed.

Why all the power damage bonuses, for barrier detonation ?
Shaman is just a much crappier version of the Human Adept. And he's not even that good @ headbutting things

So apparently my idea of full barrier and full rage(melee) not great.
I like the idea of a melee tank adept. At what difficulty does a krogan shamans melee attacks stop killing mooks easily? I got him late last night so I haven't had a chance to take him for a spin.
My other krogan if speced fully for melee in rage after the first rage kicks in a heavy usually kills or close to kills shielded mooks on silver. Takes 2 heavies on gold iirc.
u can kill most softhened guys in one hit on gold iirc.
2 will still work on plat i guess
FUll barrier and full melee should work too, but i prefer more stagger options and faster BEs

Barrier kills his cooldowns and he can't pack a heavier weapon like Venom, because your CD on Warp and Shockwave will be too high. Also he has no melee synergie and he needs to skip something useful like weight capacity or barrier strenght to max out melee.

He's not as good at melee because he doesn't have access to the melee damage boosts that the other Krogan do (from Biotic Charge, Fortification, and/or Tech Armor) so his max melee damage is always going to be less than other Krogan. On the other hand, he has awesome powers- both Warp and Shockwave are great, and the BE's they create are incredibly powerful (both have a "Detonate" evo, the one on SW being good for +65% damage). You're a Krogan, so you're still going to melee things every now and then, but its usually a good idea to maximize his particular strengths- which is being a super-tank that can create awesome combos (Warp+SW BE's, Ammo+Warp/SW tech combos). I run him with Venom or Wraith, and usually go with the 366656 build Loufi provided (or 46646)- throw a Cyclonic on that build and you basically have to try to get killed, even on plat.

I guess she means that Barrier doesn't give any boost to melee damage, unlike Fortification and Tech Armor.
Why can't people understand the awesomeness that is the Krogan Shaman?!

Seriously, Shaman is a tanky powerhouse with one of the most powerful biotic explosions in the game. He can detonate multiple explosions in one Shockwave, can detonate Biotic and Tech, so works with most teams. Survives things that cripple lesser characters. Even without a melee build, his melee will still dispatch mooks, hell, my biotic explosion Krogan backhands sh*t on Platinum. I don't even use a real gun on him and do fine.
And for those so inclined, Shaman has Warp, so he can incendiary glitch. Me? I prefer Warp Ammo.
If you can't understand how awesome the Shaman is, go back to Bronze until you learn how to play.

shaman is bad? what is that nonsense?
I would recommend Warp 6a and shockwave 5b. 6a for more damage against armor which is essential on Gold and Plat and 5b, so you are able to get biotic explosions further out. Prime with warp, detonate with shockwave.
