I have just put up 2 new mods on nexusmods: New Game Plus, which is basically the "Seggrich" mod I posted last week, but on steroids, and Craftorama, which replaces the blacksmith shop and sells a complete variety of crafting materials.
I'll just paste the mod descriptions here:
People seem to like my Seggrich mod, but I wasn't entirely happy with it, because it was limited by the size of Seggrit's original shop. Fortunately I was able to figure out how to get more goods into Seggrit's shop, and this New Game Plus mod is the result.
Why New Game Plus? Well, when combined with the Golden Nug, this shop now lets you start off the game pretty much as powerful as your last Inquisitor. Like the Seggrich mod, Seggrit's shop will buy junk from you at 10,000 times its normal price. This version of the shop also has the following:
- All tier 1 schematics that aren't in the Black Emporium
- An infinite supply of Blank Runestones, so you can craft runes for your gear while you're still at Haven
- An infinite supply of Amulets of Power that your Inquisitor or any companion can use to get more ability points
- Enough herbs that you can fully upgrade all potions, tonics and grenades, plus 1000 extra tier 1 and 2 herbs for crafting them
- 99 contracts, "A Pact of Certain Favors" which gives you all Inquisition perks and enough power points to complete the game
Basically the only thing you can't buy from Seggrit is increased stats, but with all that other stuff, you won't need them.
"Why only 1000 tier 1 and tier 2 herbs?" you may ask. The reason is to make it easy to buy multiple herbs at once. You can buy as many as you want without clicking a thousand times. If you're worried about running out, keep in mind that you can also buy tier 1 herbs at the Crossroads, and tier 2 herbs in Crestwood. Also, if you rescue Seggrit in Haven, this shop will reappear in Skyhold, fully stocked. Realistically, though, you are not likely to use more than 1000 of each herb in an entire playthrough.
While this mod does include Blank Runestones, you may want my Craftorama mod which includes all the rune crafting materials, and everything else you need to craft gear. It replaces the blacksmith shop in both Haven and Skyhold, and lets you buy tier 2, 3, and 4 materials while you are still in Haven. Unlike this mod, that mod requires Jaws of Hakkon, because it includes Frostback Basin materials.
Finally, I claim indemnity from liability for any boredom you may experience due to starting the game this powerful. Enjoy!
This is kind of a companion to my mod New Game Plus. While that mod gives you pretty much all you need to power up your Inquisitor in Haven, it doesn't include crafting materials. Craftorama replaces the "respec" shop at the blacksmith. It includes a variety of tier 2, 3, and 4 materials that will allow you to craft anything with any useful bonus, including the materials that remove class restrictions: Dales Loden Wool, Snoufleur Skin and Silverite. It also includes different Masterwork materials that cover every possible Masterwork effect, including a couple of different tiers of some materials so you can craft things with extra guard on hit or extra chance for hidden blades on hit. Finally, it includes all the different rune making materials. Oh, and it also still sells respec amulets, but only the pricey ones.
Unfortunately, while this shop has a lot of crafting materials, there just wasn't enough room to include *all* of the tier 2 and tier 3 materials. All tier 1 materials are available in the Black Emporium from the start of the game, and tier 2, 3, and 4, are available there when your character is level 8, 16 and 18 respectively. So, for some materials you may want for tinting, you may need to make a trip to the Black Emporium. However, all the worthwhile offensive, defensive, and utility bonuses are available using only the materials in this shop.
This mod has a limited supply of each crafting material. The reason for that is to make it easier for you to buy multiple materials at once - you won't have to spend all day clicking to buy one at a time. There should be more than enough materials for you to make all the armor you could ever want to make. Keep in mind that this replaces the shop in Haven and in the Undercroft at Skyhold, so when you get to Skyhold, you will have a full stock of materials again. If you're worried about running out, just empty the shop in Haven at the start of your game.
Because it includes tier 4 materials from Frostback Basin, THIS MOD REQUIRES JAWS OF HAKKON. Don't even ask me to make a version that doesn't require Jaws of Hakkon, either. It's a great DLC. Stop being a cheapskate and buy it.
Now, you may ask, "Why do I need another crafting materials mod, when there are fine ones like borglet's Redcliffe Crafting Supply and tirnoney's DLC Redcliffe Supply?" Good question! If you're happy with those, you don't need this. However, this shop does put the crafting materials right where you do the crafting, at the blacksmith in Haven and Skyhold.
Finally, I claim indemnity from liability for any boredom you may experience while playing the game with overpowered gear crafted with materials bought using this mod! Enjoy!
