This is how I feel as well.  I would not want them in single player, but I haven't had a problem with how they have been implemented in multiplayer in Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age: Inquisition since they gave out the additional maps and characters for free.

yeah that's how I feel too if they want to make moer money out of single player make more DLC's that for me is the best way. I don't think people mind things like DLC's too much as they definitely can be  added to the game without screwing up SP for people but microtransactions like what Konami have done with the MGS gtame as far as I'm concerned is a big NO.

We ARE dealing with EA here. Of course they'll have microtransactions.

If only in MP then go for it.  Take the suckers for all they can.

If in SP, then to hell with ME4 and most likely all future BW games.

Just my opinion of course.

Unless of course, they come up with ways to "encourage" SP folks to do MP... <_<

Actually, the microtransactions for ME3MP and DAI have been really non-intrusive.  On the other end of the scale is Warframe; there's a game that keeps pushing you toward spending money.

Yes. Micro-transactions are completely OPTIONAL. I should have the option to pay for something in game increase my enjoyment of it.

The delusional entitlement of bsn here is nauseating, stop whining EA isnt forcing you to do anything.

As long as they're restricted to multiplayer, as a way to profit off the mode and put out free MP dlc like in the past, I'm fine with them. However, they have no place in a singleplayer mode.

What kind of SP microtransactions could there be, anyway? Better gear? Bio games are too easy as it is. I can see wanting the stuff in MP where you want to be competitive, but SP?

Giving someone the option to unlock something faster via paying for it is okay in my opinion, locking existing content behind a paywall isn´t.

This a trick question ?

I have no problems with the DA:I model, just don't do a ME3 and have MP affect the main game.

Otherwise keep them the hell away from SP.

No. It singlehandedly killed Payday 2 yesterday. I don't want anymore of this.

I hate when people says "I don't mind microtransactions, it probably won't affect anything''. Because of that, microtransacions are something quite normal in a 60$ game, which is ridiculous. We have to resist, otherwise this situation will get worse. It's already getting worse, because no one cares and many mindless people are accepting practices like that. Some day, we'll get ludicrous microtransactions as bad as Deus EX: MD pre-order system and no one will even complain. Thanks.

most games seem to have them nowadays.

i personally dont mind. i like being able to buy a new costume here and a new gun pack there.

I've never had a real issue with the weapon packs or how some were just linked to specific single player dlc BUT I'd prefer them just added in free updates. I don't mind paying for story dlc but don't put weapons and armor you already have free in MP behind a SP paywall -_-

Seriously, does anybody ever want microtransactions?

I hold that the answer to that question is no. No, nobody wants them in MEA.

On this, however, we're guaranteed that they won't listen to us.

Clearly people do want them, clearly there are a large number of people who love Microtransactions, who love new outfits, who love new weapons and are willing to pay for them. The evidence for this is, they keep selling really well. These little Transactions make the companies a nice bit of money and if no one liked them, they wouldn't sell. This is why I get tired of people complaining, because they wouldn't make them if people didn't buy them. For example I don't buy cheats, I find them to be a terrible practice so I don't pay for them, and yet, they sell well enough to be a viable long term practice, despite how loudly a minority scream about it. This tells me, despite the loud minority giving a different impression, I am not the majority in this view. ((should be noted the above I am talking across the industry in general not Bioware specifically. Bioware do not to use the pay to cheat method, and even seem to have moved away from the outfit DLC somewhat))

On the other hand as others have said I do not expect Bioware will deviate from their by now established pattern, Microtransactions being Multiplayer only and very optional.

I always find it funny when people say it's ok to pay to unlock things. Does anyone else remember what cheat codes were are? No? Just me? Ok.

In an ideal world, no I don't want them.

However if they have them in MP and it means being able to get free DLC again, I'm willing to live with it.

Of course, everything should be obtainable without paying and they should stay far away from SP.

This is literally the perfect response.

Konami seem to have a good way to do it.  In Metal Gear Solid V the Phantom Pain they literally shoved a free Forward Operating Base down your throat when you connect online and since recent update it's not just some of your unprocessed resources and soldiers are in danger. Now your GMP, Vehicles, Weapon Emplacements, and Processed materials too. But that's okay they have kindly graced us with FOB Insurance to pay with real money. They literally went digitally mafia on us. I wanted no part of this stupid piece of crap pvp mechanic. I guess I just got sucker by Konami since they are going out of the Triple AAA gaming business anyway.  The hell with Konami they are dead to me.

Seriously the hell with microtransactions and especially the hell with Konami.

with other words: you like to pay money for such little things in a video game that already costs 60$/€/whatever?
