Not to be obvious, but I got a thing for the Asari.

 

I wish there could have been a in-depth romance with Aria. That little smooch was not enough for my Shep.

 

Tevos is also of interest. Would be... awkward at times, but no doubt fun.

For Broshep, definitely Kasumi. That girl's got the personality and looks (as far as I can tell). Sadly, I feel none of the other human females are all that fleshed out well enough by the time ME3 rolls around. I fear Kasumi would suffer the same fate given how she's barely in ME3.

While I didn't want to romance her, I agree with you. I thought she would have a larger role with that "gift of words" thing. I was so disappointed that after that mission she locked herself in her room and was unavailable for the rest of the game. There was the protean relic thingy that we insert her trinket (witch had an interesting story with it, too bad it was just text), but her character had potential for more if they explored her.

 

Back on topic. Well, the Ilusive man is pretty hot. It would make for a interesting love/hate subplot

Always had it difficult to romance male guys and playing females but have to agree that the illusive man would have been an interesting romance he has both mystique and pondus!

I kind of wish (as a female and always play femshep) that there was a male quarian companion that was a romance option. I think the quarians look awesome.

Kal'Reegar for example.
I wouldn't want him for femShep but for Tali actually but a quarian romance option for female Shepard would be good.
I don't want Joker, James or any others for femShep cause I really like Joker's friendship.
No idea for a male Shepard.

How so? He would've been a great option for FemShep. Imo they have so much chemistry and it all goes down the drain because they didn't make him a romance option in the end. I'm usually not like that, but this is the one romance decision that makes me want to scream at Bioware because it's such a wasted potential.

James is pure awesomeness and so funny, who wouldn't want someone like that?

The way the game forces FemShep to flirt with him regardless of the player is annoying though.  The only way to avoid it is to be an a**hole.

Fair enough, but I don't think not allowing James to call Shepard Lola is being an a**hole. If I want to avoid flirty content, I would just not allow him the nickname, he's not pissed at this or anything, even if it seems like it He is still the same way with Shepard afterwards, you're not locked out of any content except flirty stuff, and accepts your decision too, apart from one scene; the N7 tattoo scene on the Citadel, where he still flirts with a FemShep that didn't allow him to call her Lola. I wish they would've done something in that regard, maybe they forgot, because in the other scenes they treat the no-Lola as if James talks to MShep (the cabin talk for example).

Mark Meer implied in an interview once that James was originally meant as a romance for either gender Shep, and you can kinda tell - there is no way that the dialogue with M!Shep and James at the Purgatory bar is not flirtatious. "You don't think I like getting dirty?"

I don't know if it ever was planned for MShep, but FemShep had a scene at the FOB that was cut out that implied both her and James having feelings, but that James just couldn't commit. I would've hoped for the guys as well because I can see the chemistry between MShep and James, too, but from what I remember from James's character threads which I read completely last year, there were no indications in the leaked script that MShep would have gotten more. Maybe they dropped MShep first, and soon after FemShep too.

But yes, it is a wasted opportunity. It could've been my favourite romance out of all. I have a soft spot for slower romances and LI's with problems to commit.
