Currently there are one or two bugs I like to be fixed...

1. My characters keep freeezing. Sometimes multiple times in one battle. I have mixed feelings about the current battle system and the freezing isn't helpful by establishing a good tactic. I know jumping is a fix, but as I said I have this multiple times during battle and I don't realize it everytime which is rather frustrating.

2. Sometimes the AI fails to move according to the order. If I remember correctly this actually worked a bit better in the other two. Not gamebreaking but still kinda meh.

The EA blame gets kind of lame. Especially since they managed to give gamers some good games. Why people keep buying games for 60€ is a mystery to me. There are legal ways for purchasing the game for way less even before release.

Origins or DA 2 didn't look good though, and EA was publisher when they made both. No doubt EA is a shitty publisher but you should look at who make the games where those mechanics you mentioned are implemented.

Now i like both DA2 and Origins, DAI less so but its not a terrible game just bland. Also name calling is fn weak.

As long as we're talking about Bio bugs, anyone remember the game-breaker at the end of NWN chapter 2, where the only door off of the tower wouldn't unlock?

I spent long nights howling in frustration on that one.

Awakening is by far the buggiest part of the Dragon Age series in my experience, and the mine bug is the literal worst bug. At least the banter bug doesn't rob you of all your best equipment!

I only experienced it once, but my Orlesian dwarf Warden lost a whole set of white steel armour, and the last save I had was three hours back :( . Since then, I've been paranoid about making hard saves every hour or so.

The Awakenings silverite mine bug was horrible first run through.

Games and software in general have bugs - it sucks, but the reality is with the complexity of code, things slip through. It's pretty much impossible to completely eliminate them as the absence of one person finding a bug doesn't mean one isn't there for someone else to find.

I think they've done a pretty good job of patching it TBH. The banter bug is mostly gone - Western approach isn't great for banter, but it seems to trigger in other areas at fairly regular intervals.

Borderlands TPS still has quests that can't even be completed and most likely never will be patched to be working properly.

Witcher 3 which I think is an amazing game still has a few things that it'd be nice if they were patched so it happens to all studios and publishers.

I don't think the banter bug is the result of an Evil Plot by EA.

EA's Evil Plan: make games so short-lived that a new variant can be sold at full price every year. Buy out and destroy everyone who makes other types of games. In the end, all games are the same, and thus mind-control of the gamer population will have been established.

Hmm...yeah...things like the banter bug doesn't *quite* fit. :P

Mine bug was just evil... I hate Awakenings with a burning passion, for a number of reasons (click on the tree to get banter?)

It was wrong. Just wrong.

Tell me about it. I still remember the rage threads XD

Ugh don't remind me of that garbage banter system. Worst banter system I have ever seen in a BW game ever.

Did they even get around to fixing those Awakening bugs? If my memory serves correctly, I was still running into those bugs with the latest patch, well after I beat DA2. There was the Silverite Mine thing, lost equipment. There was a light armor set that didnt loot for all the pieces. I was only able to get it via mods.

It was apparently caused by wearing origins DLC gear. However Bioware seemed convinced it was due to people picking the lock to the mine earlier than they were supposed to. So no they never fixed it.

Once I found out what was causing it I simply removed all DLC gear before entering.

Blessed Modders. Fixing crap the devs couldn't be bothered to since then 80s.

With Barrier and Guard you really don't use many healing potions.

Yes, it was.... Why they thought it was a good idea, I don't know. I understand not wanting to frontload like the did in DAO, but my God!

It wasn't even banter really, it was the full conversations. I remember one with Oghren in the city about a salve he needed... Eeewww... I needed a full cutscene conversation for that?

BTW: how many people know what the word gams means? It's pretty dated wordwise.

I dunno it was stupid either way. Who really wanted to backpeddal for those banter triggers anyway especially if you missed one. I certainly couldn't be bothered.

Oh god that. Ewww Oghren was an abomination in awakening. Especially since he had became so awesome in origins. To go back to that. Not enough smh in the world.

No clue what it means myself. I thought it was just a typo XD

Agreed, but I was never a fan of Oghren, though I love Steven Blum, but in Awakenings....erggghhh....

Gams is IIRC 1930s-40s slang for legs, especially shapely women's legs.
