A nice gesture for BIOWARE to make up for the continued RtO release date confusion would be to …

Release a FREE DLC Grey Warden armour variant, comparable to the existing Blood Dragon Armour DLC. This would be especially nice for all the troubled console owners (Xbox 360 and PS3) that do not have the DA:O PC toolset benefits.

BIOWARE would not even have to develop such an Grey Warden armour variant from scratch, since “Ghost 11” has already produced a superb (texture) variant, as the images underneath from Dragon Age Nexus show.

Some images of the "Grey Warden Runic Armour" made by “Ghost 11”:

1. That's assuming Bioware gives a crap about customer service.

2. The unwashed and ignorant masses will be here in short time to defend the teat upon which they suckle.

3. Isn't that mod already free? If so, what would be the point? Shameless self-promotion?

Bioware has done quite a few nice gestures in the past, including things such as free DLC. Amazing how quickly things are forgotten.

The game doesn't need anymore "Random God item", I'm still holding out hope they delayed to put some actual RPG meat on the DLC.

Regarding point no. 3: The Xbox 360 and PS3 console owners have no access to this "Ghost 11" data, so for them it is not free. I fall in this category, like millions of other customers do around the globe.

I am not "Ghost 11", nor do I know him, but I must say that his version of GW armour looks spectacular.

There's a bazillion other mods that I would consider more release-worthy than some shiney not so new armor.  The discussion is moot anyway, given point 1.

Point proven.;)

The first DLC for Mass Effect, can't remember it's name. They gave it to the PC users for free.

Yes BIOWARE could also develop something else as DLC, but the thing is that releasing this armour variant would really take little to nothing development effort on the part of BIOWARE and with little or no risk of bugs. So I for one would like to see this kind of free DLC shiny armour gesture, since it visually beats any armour currently in the game. New in-game eye candy is better then reading and complaining about delays.

I think they just bundled Bring Down the Sky with the PC version. Technically not free, probably just not profitable in setting up a PC distribution system back then given its limited success (and Pinnacle Station's utter failure) on XBL.

These comments always make me chuckle.

What do you think would happen if a game company leapt on every single little project which some random person on the internet claimed required 'little to no development effort with little or not risk of bugs'?

Again, I - like millions of other customers - use a console for electronic entertainment. I have a special edition copy of ME1 and the promised ME "ever expanding universe" DLC never materialized and the ME1 DLC that did I paid for. So I beg to differ. Let's leave ME out of this, since this is about DA:O and a gesture on account of the RtO confusion.

1) That armor is stupid looking. It's like Lady Gaga got a hold of Photoshop. Much like her, it manages to be both generic and flashy at the same time.

2) BioWare doesn't owe you crap. You ain't paid for RtO, so there's really been no delay.

You have no idea what customer loyalty and interest is worth, do you?

And tons of people actually DID buy RtO (360) or paid for it with the purchase of not-usable-for-anything-else Bioware points.

Reduction of everyone's opinion to whining = idiocy.  See?  I can play too!

Please feel free to chuckle. it is good for the soul. Anybody who has over two decades of experience with large scale ICT projects knows that releasing a few DA:O texture files which are just variants of already existing 3-D sets is really not that exiting.

While I do love that armor and have given it to Alistair in my current game, I wish there were more variations of the light armor. Heck, I don't even need it free.

Not to mention that if BioWare starts giving away stuff for free, that starts them down the slippery slope of "you did this before!"
