While the single-player keeps enthralling, the multi-player has been rather disheartening.

As opposed to ME3, farming here is both laborious and unrewarding, heck it can be not even fun at all. Atrocious RNG, egregious servers, horrendous balance. I can grind the entire week, only to obtain some terribly same gears repetitively. I can singlehandedly clear a Perilous match without any problems with characters such as AW and SS, but get demolished instantly when using Assassin and Necromancer.

I'm not here denounce those who are avidly dedicated to this game, and I must confess I am not a hardcore player at all; but seeing how the system of promotions/gears divide the players is most bewildering. If only they would improve the RNG so the new players can feel less "ostracised". Then again, you may think I am nothing but sheer loser who grouse for not getting things I desire. Oh well.

Even worse is that you also have to consider this from the GotY edition players perspective. They get this game with online multiplayer only to find the only people in MP are promotion lords and other new players. And it isn't like these newbies can progress like the launch players did because the Darkspawn and Qunari are unforgiving to the unprepared.

In some other thread you can see that long time players didn't get some piece of equipment.

So,game treats players evenly like sh#t.

You raised a solid point there. Demons used to be broken before the nerf, then there come Darkspawn and Qunari; the ultimate stun-lock pirates.

Hold up! So you guys are saying you can't progress because of new factions???? Gthooh!

Do as the promo lords did. Pug, find a few good teammates and start grinding!!!!

Geez, you guys act as if those guys came in with 60 across the board..

And when I say grind I mean routine or Threatning plz

You know, I think you may be onto something here.  Nerf the AW and SS!

Demons are still king of stun-lock.  Qunari hardly stun-lock at all.

At launch, armor was bad, disconnects and rubberbanding were far worse than it is now, gamebreaking bugs like the key glitch were everywhere, most of the overpowered characters were not in the game yet, we had no highly promoted players to help on higher difficulties, there were less high-end weapons, and those high-end weapons that were in the game were incredibly rare to get (e.g. Caliban, Suliven Blade).

All that gets balanced out by a couple of factions that are a little harder than the originals?  Because people are unprepared?  No.
