The thread about Wraith vs Claymore were trending since 2012 and they will keep appearing till ME:A MP. And then start again if those weapons are featured in it.

  Wraith is easily the best overall gun in the game.   It has the edge over the Claymore because its weight friendly for power class without sacrificing damage/stopping power.

Wraith is more user friendly, but it pales in comparison to the pure power of each shot fired from the claymore.

Anyone can use a wraith well. But only the elite few can master the true power of the claymore!

I would have to agree that the Wraith is the best overall shotgun in the game. Super powerful, light, and good at most ranges. Perfect for most CQC characters. It kind of sucked when the game was released but they just kept buffing and buffing it until it became the beast it is today.

 

To be fair though, It's hard to argue against the "rule of cool" epicness of that massive single shot from the Claymore.

N7 Crusader. Don't know really what it is about that one except I tend to headshot enemies a lot quicker and with sniper rifle-like efficiency as long as I have a stabilize mod.Haven't used the Wraith much. I never got use to the kickback on a Claymore. Pirahna is a second choice for me.

Mass Effect 3 cost like $120. I don't get why people "HATE" season passes. It's the same god damn thing except you pay up front for the DLC. ME3 SP DLC is like $45. And day one to boot!

Because of not even knowing what you'll actually get for your bucks? Also "season pass" sounds like "get access for a season", like a subscription - once it ends, you lose access. That's what I thought it was when I first heard it (that last Bioshock release) and I was like "no f*cking way!".

One word : "Crowdfunding". The way to go.
Keep everyone content. You know what you want. U see a prototype - You give a contribution - enuf people interested? U get it in 3 months. Only 100 interested? Money back. It flies? The late uptakers pays a 20% premium.

Is a large community is willing to pay a contribution for something? We build something for them.

It's a bugger to let the marketing department realize that the customer is actually king - but it's the new reality out there

Ps. Put differently. EA has 200 nice DLC they want to deliver (in mockup stage), they not sure which one will fly and in which order the multiple DLC should be delivered : enter = crowdfunding.

Yea and the Evolve "Hunting Season" pass. I bet bet some slick marketing people laughed their ass off when they came up with this nifty littly wording trick. But "everyone doing it" doesn't really mean it's a good thing in general.

Back in my day we would both walk uphill through 6 feet of snow to the Thunderdome, then post the match on youtube.

 

Now they have spreadsheets and damage calculators and character kit builders.  Technology has set society back in so many ways

Nope - The Crusader - the undisputed beast - but only to the p(easy) mustard race - a dirty little secret for naive newcomers joining those lobbies.

Piranha. Massive damage, fully-automatic, plenty of ammo, smart choke gives it enough reach to blast anything outside of long range... I'd frankly call this a cheaper weapon than the reegar, at least you have to get close with a reegar. Turian soldier + piranha is a symphony of pain. Piranha isn't so bad, but compares to Raider in much the same way that Wraith compares to Claymoar; a watered down, less damaging, easier to use, tiny, worse sounding, uglier, non headgibbing version for babbies, "casters" and other such weaklings who can't handle a real boomstick.

GI / Piranha is the most effective shotgun combo in the game (on console anyways)

 

Other than that the Talon is the superior shotgun for most people.

 

There is only 1 exception, 1 instance when the Claymore is the best shotgun, when the player using it can consistently land headshots (** cough TMB cough **) .. for most gamers, we do not land enough headshots to make it the best.

 

And while I really like the feel of the Raider, and it is quite satisfying to use, IMO it doesn't compete with the other top shotguns unless used on a marksman kit.
