Yup, I've used this build a bunch, though even for hip firing I found the Barrage gear superior to the extra damage from the SMG gear. OFC you have a tendency to hit melons about as effectively as anyone, so for you the extra stability may not be needed lol.

 

I will say, even factoring in the extra loading, the HVB/Warp ammo IV still does more damage to big armor units, surprisingly.

 

I tried the GI/Hurricane with the Barrage Gear last night, and while it was obviously awesome (dropped into a GIP and still outscored the closest PUG by over 60k), I still don't like it as much as the Piranha.  I guess I really just don't like the Hurricane against mooks, that's what it comes down to.  If you hipfire with Barrage Gear, the recoil is easily controllable, but even with HM, the accuracy isn't great hipfiring.  I like to ADS with the Hurricane to get better accuracy, and with the increased recoil that results from the increased fire rate of HM, I need more stability.  Honestly, the best setup for me would probably be to use the Extended Mag and Recoil Mod on the Hurricane, but if I"m going to do that, there's no way I'm out-damaging a Piranha.  TL/DR version:  GI Hurricane is awesome of course, but GI Piranha is better for me.

I have no clue what is going on with the last handful of posts...but I find myself chuckling at whatever the hell it is.

What I do know is that I played with Fluent yesterday and the guy was very helpful.
We played 2 matches and he gave me many insights during the whole time.

Very experienced in the game and willing to share stuff via mic. Outsanding guy. Certainly not a kid.

I belong to neither group really since I like both shotguns but rarely do they overlap in my loadouts and I have to make a choice bw one or the other. My krogans, infiltrators, some soldiers and the QFE use a claymore while some sentinels, engineers and power dependent kits in general will use a wraith.

 

Gotta say though, it was pretty goofy logging on after being off for a while and finding out the two top threads on the first page have to do with claymore vs wraith wars. Stay classy, BSN. 

 

Also somewhat on topic since it was mentioned in the OP: The "deluxe" edition of battlefront is the most ridiculous promo I've seen yet. An extra 10 bucks for like 2 emotes and a pistol.   What's kinda sad is that many many people are gonna buy the deluxe edition anyway.

The same people who bought Premium on BF3 when it was $50 and gave you nothing but a stupid box cutter knife and black dogtags so everyone would know whom to teabag relentlessly. (okay, techincally it was more like $20 given there were 3 DLC expansions left to go, and it was basically no extra charge if you were a new buyer or hadn't bought the first two yet, but w/e)

However, you're being unnecessarily harsh on Battlefront as you also get a different case for the disc if you're getting the physical copy as well as a goddamn poster  .Best part is that the pistol isn't even exclusive, just says it is "instant access", so I assume you'll have it like a week before everyone else gets it. But hey, exclusive emotes!
