Not going to happen with my DEX-less fingers, but this solo build looks great.

Q: Why is Cassandra along?

The cd reduction on spell purge and wrath of heaven is extremely useful anyway :)

Doesn't annulment transfer all templar abilities to magic users as well?

He doesn't take annulment.

But yes it does.

Pretty sure the annulment only transfers Wrath of Heaven damage.  Also, Flow of Battle passive is all the cooldown reduction you need with 2H Templar.  You are limited to 8 slots and blessed blades doesn't even come close to earning a spot on it.  I would only consider using blessed blades if you had a low-crit 2h weapon.

Is the templar useful in the three dlc areas?

In Descent, not as much due to a greater lack of Demons and spell casters. But this is not the case for JoH and Trespasser. IMO, of course, based on my use of Cassandra in all of them.

Is the templar useful in the three dlc areas?

In regards to Descent and Trespasser (both having hordes of enemies), I'd say Templar is more useful than Reaver or Champion because Wrath of Heaven is an AoE stun ability.  Compared to reaver, who has a random proc fear, or champion who has...nothing.

In regards to Jaws of Hakkon, the only tank who did not suffer sever zombie-brainification from repeat resurrections, was Cassandra.  Her AoE stun, along with other standard warrior abilities (aoe fear, aoe party-wide guard buff, knock-downs), and spell purge made her the pretty unkillable.  Especially given the new toggle on Wrath of Heaven than heals her.  Spell purge is a godsend for removing Hakkon debuffs (which will one-shot anyone).

Descent and Trespasser both have a lot of enemies.  The crowd control and self-healing of the templar are just godly.

Pro-tip:  don't use blessed blades.  It's a total waste IMHO.
