Is the Void like the Fade?

I'm curious to know if anyone else sees it this way. Usually the physical world and the Fade are treated as dualistic opposites without much concern for how the Void fits in, as if it's not an active player but more a thing looming on the edges of Dragon Age's drama, not to be screwed with.

In thedosian religions the Fade seems to be heaven, as Maker is said to reside in the Fade, and that's where peoples' souls are returning after their death. According to andrastian beliefs, the faithful get to walk by the Maker in the Fade, whereas the unfaithful will be cast out to the Void.
The Void seems to be hell, as the elven mythology says that the Void is where the Forgotten Ones (evil gods) live, and even their Creators don't dare to venture there.
Still, it is currently undefined, what the Void exactly is. Based on what we know about the Fade and religious teachings, the Void is the exact opposite of the Fade, and the Void is everything that the Fade is not. And the waking world is somewhere in between the two realms.
Of coure, the Void might not even exist, and it was just made up to have an antithesis to the place of benevolent gods, but that seems highly unlikely, based on the facts that it is present in both human and elven lore.

That said, I don't think it actually exists as a place or whatever. (Or at all... but that's another discussion for another time.)

I think the "Void" is the bottom of the Fade, where things typically break down and "die" to become energy. I think most things cannot survive there, but the Forgotten Ones were said to be able to live there. Andruil created armor from the Void so she could hunt the Forgotten Ones there, but went mad trying. If this is true, then the Void is probably some chaotic space where only the powerful can survive. All else gets destroyed there, and turned into energy. This could also be the Emerald Waters spoken of in the Chant of Light. So when Andruil created armor from the Void's energy, it slowly turned her mad and chaotic and even brought plague to her lands until Mythal beat her into submission, striped her of the Void armor, and made her forget how to reach the Void.
A more well-known game series by the name of Castlevania has had the storyline of an evil dimension for a while, but one of the more recent installments features a "void-like" realm where, ironically, the "Forgotten One" was sealed. Before the protagonist can enter that realm though he first has to fill himself with darkness, or else he will perish upon entering the realm. So maybe the Void in Dragon Age is similar to that, where you have to be extremely powerful to survive there, or else you get broken down into energy to be reused in the Fade. And maybe Andruil used the Void's energy to create armor to help her navigate the Void in her hunt for the Forgotten Ones.

According to Aurelian Titus the "rage" fade which are the sections of the fade that are not shaped by mortals or spirits or demons
(the untouched sections of the fade) possess gaps, those gaps are by nature the void.
They are close by nature to what i would define as a "singularity" akin to the dark holes

I'm thinking that "Thedas" is a thin plane of existence where the Fade and the "Stone" meet, which would fit in line with what we know about the Evanuris, the Ancient Elvhen conflict with the Titans, and the Elvhen connection to the Fade and the Dwarven connection to the Stone. There is also the codex from the Arbor wilds that talks about Elves hunting Dwarves and has a symbol of two circles and their intersection, a la a Venn diagram.
When Fen'Harel created the Veil, he obstructed Thedas' connection to the Fade, pushing the realm of existence further to the "Stone" side of the equation.
I think the Void and the Abyss are the extreme regions of the continuum past the Fade and past the "Stone" sections of Thedas. Which is which is hard to say, but I am thinking the Void is "up" and the Abyss is "down." Exactly where is hard to know but I think as of now we have not seen any evidence that the Void is part of the Fade, unless it is in the Black City which seems strange to me but possible. I think we might have seen the Abyss, or at least got really close, in the Descent.
but really, these are two very confusing terms in Thedosian metaphysics.

Staff of the Void: "There is strenght in absence. Absence of weakness, and of limitation. Asence of caution, and of mercy. The void has always been within."
Canticle of Andraste, 14:11: "Here lies the abyss, the well of all souls. From these emeral waters doth life begin anew. Come to me, child, and I shall embrace you. In my arms lies eternity."
The Calling: "It is where Andraste goes to speak to the Maker for the first time. It is where she convinces him to forgive mankind. It was supposed to be this beautiful temple deep under the earth surrounded by emeral waters.
[...]
Another sound joined the echoes of dripping wather in time: a strange murmur that seemed to come from all around them. Maric suggested it might in fact be the water, but she wasn't so sure. The water rippled, making the green lights dance upon the ceiling, but there were no tides or splashes or anything else that might make such sounds. She sensed no darkspawn, but that didn't mean there weren't other things living there.
[...]
She noticed odd shadows moving beneath the water, as well. Fish, here? The source of the sound, perhaps? She reached out with her grey warden senses and felt nothing. Nothing at all. The thought that after so much corruption in the tunnels they would be here and it would be completely free of the taint was worrying, but she put it aside for now."
Tamlen (DA: Origins): "It's... showing me places. I can see some kind of city. Underground? And there's a great blackness... It saw me! Help! I can't look away!"

Looks like the void/abyss is located deep within the earth.

^ There is also the "Anvil of the Void" from DA:O which uses Lyrium in a way to transmute living flesh to Stone and is very deep in the Deep Roads.

I think the void is a place where magic can't be, at least not the magic non dwarves use and as a result i think this is one of the reasons its called "the void" the other reason being that it was a place where the blight was until Andruil began hunting the forgotten ones and brought the blight with her to Thedas so it was a place emptied of its power. So I assume its the deep roads, or far below the deep roads, it also seems to suggest that its perhaps underwater or a place underwater I mean look at that image it screams underground city surronded by water!
In the descent DLC Forgotten Caverns, Bastion of the Pure and the Wellspring are all called "the Uncharted Abyss"
The bottle of Thedas, Abyssal Peach "Not so much filtered as dredged. Should be kept in a cold, dark place. Also locked. Forgotten as well, if one is wise."
Personally it all reminds me of the Greek Underworld with its water and rivers and darkness and other such stuff makes me wonder if that's where the scaled ones once lived.

According to Elven myth the Void is the location of the Forgotten Ones. Andruil also knew how to get there and being there drove her mad, until Mythal took the knowldge from her.
Given that legend, the Void is supposedly a physical thing as well and not just a location. Since Andruil was said to have crafted armor and possibly weapons from it.

I had thought that maybe the Void was a dark emptiness deep underground, and then Descent came along and showed us the sky beneath the stone. Close enough!
(Also makes the dwarves fear of falling up into the sky make more sense if you can also go too deep and fall down into the sky.

- Chaos: The primeval void. The first thing which existed.
- Primordial deities: Uranus & Gaia. Father sky and Mother Earth respectively.
- The Titans: Giant deities of incredible strength who ruled during the legendary Golden Age.
- The Olympians: The principal deities of the Greek pantheon, residing atop a mythical Mount Olympus. They gained their supremacy in a war of gods in which Zeus led his siblings to victory over the Titans.

I assume the Void isn't a place so much as it is the embodiment of entropy. Nothing exists there, and yet there are things which prowl that empty darkness. How can you go to a place that doesn't exist, to hunt creatures that never were? There's a reason that Andruil went mad.

But Mythal removed the information for how to get there, so it's possibly both a place and a thing. Maybe like the Crossroads, deep within the Fade...
Or the crap Andruil used was just red lyrium and she pulled a Meredith,

I don't doubt Andruil went to the Void. I'm saying that her going there is like reading a book that has never been written.
Nothingness is a hard concept to wrap your mind around, but Andruil managed it.

That the dead pass though the fade and go somewhere beyond is something noted by spirits but the one spirit that is talked to about it, Justice stated that even the spirits and demons don't know where the dead go after they past though the fade.
