In another post, I fantasized about using the L3 or R3 button to turn on/off a scope equipped on non-sniper weapons. This reminded me of another fantasy I've had, so I ask you...

How awesome would it be if you could use the collector sniper rifle as an AR?

I wish I could knock the scope off of the CSR and use it like a ray-gun Mattock...no hip-fire penalty.

So, I think the answer is 93.

I usually scope when I fire any weapon so it doesn't bother me.  Quickscope for teh aimz, plus inaccurate guns fire moar accurately when scoped.

There's a difference between aiming down the sights and using a scope, y'know...

^ But the dmg difference isn't that big from scope to non-scoped on the CSR. You still do something like 75% dmg out of scope still.

And still can't just aim down the sights like you could with a Mattock-esque death ray...I just like the CSR and hate the enviro-awareness hit you take with a fargin' scope. I think a CSR assault rifle would be awesome...I've quantified how awesome I think it would be.

If someone responds 'learn to PPR' I will haunt their reading-comprehension-failing, <90-IQ-testing, shouldn't-be-allowed-to-vote-self and their family (and their pets) for their next 10 incarnations.

It would be awesome if I could turn off hard cover. That way I don't stick to random walls for no practical reason 3 times a match (I'm exaggerating but not by much.)

As for OP, the way I use the CSR is basically like an AR anyway. Tap it like the Mattock. Perhaps Andromeda will allow further modification?

And maybe ME:A Will be as bad as I suspect it will be. I hope some of you stay around on PS3, since I have no intention of ever getting a PS4 or X1, and I will need people to grind manifest with long after ME:A is released ('cause trollstore).

 

That said, hipfire penalty combined with trollscope (Apparently it is some kind of aim assist) makes using a sniper rifle an exercise in the endurance of your controller, and your patience at not throwing $60 at the wall.

 

Bug fixes, those would also be great.

 

ME:A will need to make a lot of changes to tempt me, especially since it would also need a console. ME2 is still by far the best SP experience in the series, and MP would be so much better if, say, bugs were removed, and trollscope didn't exist.

Yeah, I hipfire the CSR all the time.  Usually when there are Husks or Aboms charging me.  If you have an Infiltrator with the Sniper damage bonus, it lays stuff down hipfiring better than most weapons on the game.
