Hey all. Most recent patch, all DLC, this combo does zero damage to the undead in fallow mire.

What am I doing wrong?! I literally go stand next to a Zombie, I wrath of heaven, and I spell purge immediately, and the thing is sitting there with full health still.

I noticed this as well when I finally got around to using this combo with a templar. I loved my templar in MP for this combo alone and found it was not working as it did in SP as it did in MP. I did find however that some enemies are still susceptible to the combo and it is exponentially more powerful the more enemies are clustered together.

Hmm. I guess it only works on specific enemies. I just tested it on humanoids, demons, and deep stalkers. Works like a charm.

Wrath of Heaven specifically states it only damages demons:

You summon a blinding pillar of light that stuns nearby enemies and damages demons.

Annulment (upgrade for Spell Purge) states:

All of your templar abilities now affect magic-using enemies as well as demons.

Undead are not mentioned at all.

Lorewise it should, but spellpurge only harms demons

I think there is something wrong. It shouldn't matter what kind of enemies Wrath of Heaven or Spell Purge damages, as long as you do them together in the correct order.

The damage of Wrath of Heaven is not the primer for the combo, the stun is. Then the Eldritch detonation kicks in once you use Spell Purge.

I just tried it with my 2H Templar in Descent and it worked fine. It was actually pretty awesome. I had my weapon - therefore my combo- infect people with Walking Bomb, and the explosion from both the combo and the walking bomb killed killed nearly all the darkspawn lol

The only reason I can think of on why that wouldn't work is if the undead have insanely high spirit resistance. The combo inflicts spirit damage, and if you're pretty low-level or do not possess great gear, then the combo might not do anything to them.

Yes It is an eldritch combo detonator with WoH priming with stun, hence why it is so effective since it is a single class doing a cross-class combo. And this is my first playthrough on nightmare and first with and since trials, when I normally play on normal. So there is a good chance they are getting a good resistance to the spirit damage or there is some hidden ability that says that the combo doesn't work on them for whatever reason.
