I'm reeeally sad that DAI is over and since I'm already missing it, but I don't want to play it for the 6th time, I was pondering trying MP..
However I usually don't like multiplayer games because of how arrogant and annoying other players can be, specially towards first time players.
So the question is.. what's the status of DAI MP? As in, am I going to be thrown in a battlefield with people screaming at me because I have no idea where to go/what to do/how it works etc, or are there decent and nice people too? ![]()
I don't want to offend anyone by the way, mine is just an honest question
I play for fun so I wouldn't probably like it if it was just full of hostile people
So if that's the case I'll just desist XD
Thanks for any answer ![]()
Honest question: What's the status of MP?

Honestly? Dead man. Almost no lobbies can be found outside of weekends..You missed the window of when people played every day..MP is all but over

MP is all but over
Says the scrub lord. I'm actually finding lobbies just fine and finding more people lately. There's new blood coming in, partly due to the weekend challenge. There's fewer high-end gamers, but the low end and mid range is doing fine. The trial MP helped out a lot on PC side.
Also most people don't talk at all. Some do, a lot more don't. So no there's no screaming at you, unless its me and you're doing something incredibly stupid by choice.
"Hey, come over here so you don't get killed"... you go over there and get killed. Repeatedly. . . and those that get the team killed for the same reason. That's who I yell at.

Don't listen to the scrub lord. He's scrubby, and his face is full of mud. You'll be fine, especially if you post your gamer tag and make friends here and/or talk in game and make friends from pugs.

I'm not playing as much as I did before, but Drasca is right.
The super-promoted players have probably moved on or are playing in private lobbies. But i have no issues finding lobbies in threatening and perilous during europe prime-time. There is definitely an influx of new players, as I see a lot more new names than before.
I have been power-levelling my cousin which also started last week, and our lobby always fills up pretty fast. It's not too late to start DAMP, but don't expect it to be as active as before.

Those that thing that 'before' was much more awesome have rose tinted glasses. I remember all the bs that went on that made the game unfun, and how people were / are still scared of perilous. Its easier than ever to start out and catch up and have fun.

I was not implying that "before" was more awesome. "Before" had more players, even during the not so social hours I play at. Nevertheless, finding a group was never an issue for me.
And yes, they are scared of perilous; i'm watching my cousin with around 20ish in each stat and i am still laughing about how fast he goes down if he's not in the right place and agroing the entire map. He's learning though. Perilous was and still is hard for new players, but not impossible.

I'd like to think I'm generous to first time players
and quite harsh on people who played hundreds of hours and still learned nothing.
People generally don't scream as they don't have mics
typically arrogant behavior:
-Whining in front of a treasure room
-Speeding through the room, not getting the treasure room (I will do this relentlessly)
-Leaving the room when you show up with no banners/portraits and or an assassin.
Don't play it for grind and read this http://forum.bioware...d-thread/page-1

May also really depend on your platform and geographical location. DAIMP is region-locked, so if you're in a low-population area of the world and/or on a last-gen console, you may have an incredibly hard time finding a lobby.
That being said, I'm North America PS4 and there are zero problems yet in finding lobbies at all difficulties - on weekends, at least. I don't play outside of then anymore, really, and NA PS4 is likely one of the highest populations and, therefore will likely be slowest to die.

Europe PC is not bad at all, especially in the early-mid evenings. Plenty of games, you'll be able to find lobbies fast ![]()
Give it a try, it can be fun for a while. Also, don't worry, there are some annoying players here and there but this is not Call of Booty. Light years away from the toxicity you can encounter there.
I promise, you'll have fun. ![]()

The state of the game is entirely regional when it comes to lobbies being full or not.

If Europe PC is anything like US PC, you should be fine. Threatening is fairly populated at all times of the day, perilous is populated mostly during primetime. Any difficulties higher than that and you might run into matchmaking issues, but that's to be expected.
Honestly, I was surprised and impressed at how many newer players were on for these last two weekends.

And that region lock is utter crap. There is no reason to have it as I play just fine with DragonRacer in my lobby and vice versa.
I'm in the UK.
Remove the region lock (If it's even possible)
ON TOPIC: EU PS4 and finding players easily enough 7pm to midnight weekdays. As been said before, it's more and more new players and not so much veterans in public matches. There are still plenty of peeps though. GOTY edition helped I guess.
