I haven't touched this area in months.

I recently opened it up, deleted the npcs within, saved, closed, exported it.

Sent to a friend and it's completely corrupt for him. So I opened it and this is it;

All the buildings have gone, it's acting as if it's an interior...

Something like that can happen if there's an interior and exterior area that both have the same name in the same module:

Happened to me before, but I've never touched anything related to that area (or made an area with the same name lol)

Any fix for it?

You're trying to work with the area your friend sent back? What about your original copy in the module you saved it from?

Also that sort of thing can happen if the placeables.2da is mucked up, for instance there not being lines for the objects.

No, like I said I haven't touched the area in months.

I wanted my friend to work on building interiors for the area, (so he had the exterior to look at the house sizes etc). When he imported it, it was corrupt/ what you see in the pic.

So I opened it up (the original) in my toolset and it was the exact same.

No idea how it happened, but luckily I had a spare copy of the area which has no problems.
